The phone, which also goes by the more standard ‘HTC 8X’, is one of the best Windows Phone 8 phones on the market – it is lighter and more convenient than the Lumia 920, while boasting an arguably nicer looking design than the Samsung Ativ S.<\/p>\n

Windows Phone 8 is all about killer hardware, and the Windows Phone 8X delivers in spades. The phone’s display is particularly impressive, boasting a 1280 x 720p resolution, but it isn’t too big either – just 4.3″ makes this one of the most compact HD displays you’ll find. The display is also Super LCD2 as on the acclaimed HTC One X, rather than the Pentile Super AMOLED displays that Samsung prefers.<\/p>\n

The top-notch display is powered by a strong Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM – a considerable upgrade from the single-core phones of Windows 7! The phone also supports 16 GB of internal storage and includes an 1800 mAh battery to keep all that new hardware going longer.<\/p>\n

Even the cameras on the 8X are unique. The rear camera uses the same Image Chip processor as the HTC One X and has an 8 megapixel sensor for great looking pictures. The 8X’s front camera is impressive too, sporting a backside illuminated 88\u00b0 wide-angle lens and a 2.1 megapixel sensor. That’s the best front-facing camera on the market, which is brilliant for video calling and taking photos.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Windows Phone 8X by HTC comes with a speaker amplifier that makes the loudspeaker that much louder – you’ll never miss a notification again! The Beats audio equaliser is also present, giving you an option for punchier bass and crisper vocals.<\/p>\n

The Windows Phone 8X by HTC should prove to be a popular Windows Phone at the top of the market, offering all of the big features and fluid performance you’d expect from Windows Phone 8 – you can see why Microsoft is calling it the ‘signature phone’ of Windows Phone 8.<\/p>\n
