If someone were to say “mobile phone case<\/a>” to you, what immediately comes to mind? You’d probably be imagining those bulky leather cases with plastic fronts that were worn on your belt and popular in the late 90’s.<\/p>\n

This kind of style may work for men, although admittedly you don’t see so many parading around with their phones on show so much, but what about all us ladies? Well, the good news is Nokia<\/a>, Sony Ericsson<\/a>, BlackBerry<\/a> and Krusell<\/a> have heard our cry and realised that us ladies want something more from our phone cases; style, \u00a0sophistication and variety, and have started to introduce mobile phone cases with our needs in mind.<\/p>\n

Top 10 Mobile Phone Cases for Girls<\/p><\/div>\n

This post will hopefully help you decide on the right\u00a0mobile phone case<\/a>, mobile phone pouch<\/a> or phone sock<\/a> for your phone and will highlight some of my personal favourites.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Sony Ericsson Design Collection IDC-22<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This \u00a0is one of the most compact cases in my top ten. \u00a0It will accommodate handsets up to 115mm x 66mm x 15m and is made from white Leather. \u00a0The inside has a fabric lining, space for bank\/credit cards and also small vanity mirror. You also get a wrist strap that you can use on either the case or attach directly to your phone. \u00a0Although this case is not overly big, there is room for your lip gloss so you could easily take this with you on a night out as an alternative to your regular handbag.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Krusell Divine Leather Case<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

I love things that are a little bit different, and that’s exactly what this case is. Rather than being a conventional pouch that your phone slides into, this opens on both sides so you can put your phone in no matter which way up your case is. \u00a0It also makes it a lot easier to remove your phone if it’s a tight fit as you can just push it out from the side. \u00a0The Krusell Divine case is available in two sizes, Small and Large. \u00a0The large one will hold handsets upto 115mm x 66mm x 20mm and the small one will hold handsets upto 96mm x 50mm x 21mm. The case also includes a wrist strap that you can use to attach to either your phone or the case.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Nokia CP340 Carry Case<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a great little case from Nokia. \u00a0It’s a straight forward case that you slide your phone into sideways. The case is quite a slim, so will only accommodate \u00a0smaller handsets like the Nokia 6700. It looks great is made from black leather and has a velvet finish lining to clean your phone while it’s in the case. \u00a0Phones upto 110mm x 55mm x 16mm in size will fit this case.<\/p>\n

4. <\/strong>Sony Ericsson Design Collection IDC-23<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Another great case from Sony Ericsson. \u00a0This case is more of a going out bag than an everyday one, but is plenty big enough to hold your phone, bank cards \u00a0and lipgloss. \u00a0It’s made of a high quality leather with a purple lining that also trims the edges of the outer flap. \u00a0It comes with a wrist strap and phone charm that can be used on either the case or your phone. \u00a0Most phones will fit into this case, but I think it looks better with slimmer phones such as the Sony Ericsson C902 rather than a larger slide handset such as the Sony Ericsson C905.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0LG CCL-240 Pink Carry Pouch<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This one is made for LG Handsets, but if your phone is the right size there’s no reason why you can’t use it with any phone. \u00a0It’s designed to work with the LG Arena, LG Viewty Smart, LG Renoir or LG Cookie, so as long as your phone is no bigger than those it’ll be fine. \u00a0Its a simple case that protects the screen and most edges it has a holder for a stylus \u2013 which great if you have a touchscreen phone and find you misplace your stylus all the time and need to carry a spare!<\/p>\n

6. <\/strong>Sony Ericsson Design Case IDC-21<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Sony Ericsson IDC-21 is great as not only does it have an outer pocket to hold and protect your phone, it also has a second sealable compartment for storing your MP3 Player, money, keys, make up. It has a magentic fastening so anything inside it should stay put. \u00a0As with most of the other cases it comes with a wrist\/carry strap and a cord tidy – this is a simple and easy way to keep the cable from your handsfree or headphones from getting tangled up.<\/p>\n

7. <\/strong>BlackBerry Folio Case<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

If you have a BlackBerry, and used the holster provided, you will have probably notice that strange thing happens when the phone is in the case. Most BlackBerry cases have a proximity sensor in them that change your phones mode into silent mode (or what ever profile mode you want). \u00a0 I found the free case to be a bit dull, not that easy to get your BlackBerry in or out of and also I found the sound muffled. These Folio cases are a much better option, they hold the phone sideways and make it much easier to get your phone out of. \u00a0They’re available in Black, White, Red and Brown and all feature the same proximity sensor to change the profile mode. The case is purely for holding your phone though, so don’t use this case to hold any bank cards as the magentic proximity sensor might wipe them and stop them from working!<\/p>\n

8. <\/strong>Nokia CP-109 Carry Pouch<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

This is just a simple yet stylish carry pouch to hold your phone. \u00a0It has a drawstring opening and is made from a soft touch ‘Faux Suede’ fabric inside and out. \u00a0It will stop your phone from getting scratched and the lining on the case is great for giving your phone a quick clean. The Nokia CP-109 is available in Pink or Cream.<\/p>\n

9. <\/strong>Sony Ericsson Design Case IDC-24<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

This is the last of the Sony Ericsson cases in my top 10 and is a definite handbag alternative for nights out. It’s not too clear to see from the photo’s, but the bag has a unique design and actually has lots of small holes in the leather. The reason Sony Ericsson did this is so that you can see your phone light up when a call or text comes through. \u00a0I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve missed calls in bars and night clubs because my phone was in my bag and I couldn’t hear it ring over the music! \u00a0The IDC-24 has plenty of space for your phone, keys, bank cards, money and lippy.<\/p>\n

10. <\/strong>Mobile Phone Socks<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Phone socks have been around for a while now, but they’re a fun, cheap way of brightening up your phone. They stretch to fit any just about any phone and are available in a wide range of colours & designs. They protect against knocks, help wipe off fingerprints and make your phone a whole lot easier to find in your bag!<\/p>\n
