This gives us a unique viewpoint as to the most actively used handsets for a given period, which reveals more than just handset sales in isolation. We\u2019re also handset agnostic; we\u2019re as happy to support Android handsets as iPhones, or Windows Phones as BlackBerries. <\/p>\n<p>We thought we\u2019d release this top 20 list to our readers, to give them a better idea of what headsets are trending. As well as the big names you\u2019d expect, there are quite a few surprises as well. Let\u2019s get right into it!<\/p>\n<h3>1. The phone\u2019s combination of incredibly high-powered internals, a slim figure and gorgeous 4.3\u201d screen have continued to prove popular. Samsung have announced the phone will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich early next year, ensuring it&#8217;ll continue to be relevant even as phones with bigger displays and quad-core processors launch. The older phone provides arguably better value than the iPhone 4S, as it comes with most of the the same hardware and software. That\u2019s not bad for a phone that was released in June last year. While it comes at a premium price, the iPhone 4S has seen massive sales from the Apple faithful. The Note comes with its own custom stylus and associated software, making it a great phone to take notes on. The unusual handset seems to be love it or hate it, but for many it\u2019s impossible to ignore such a bright and beautiful screen. The phone was released in August 2009, so it\u2019s done well to stand the test of time. While it doesn\u2019t support 3G, it provides that winning combination of a solid QWERTY keyboard and the intensely popular BBM app at a very low price. This has made it one of the most desirable BlackBerry phones for the past three years, both for economical business people and cash-strapped teenagers. Will it ever be stopped? It sports a solid qHD screen, a quick dual core processor and its popular HTC Sense UI. The Sensation has been upgraded with a number of variants recently, including the super-sized Sensation XL and the faster, Beats-Audio-enabled Sensation XE. The Galaxy Ace is the more affordable middle child of the original Galaxy S family, and comes with a 3.5\u201d screen and slower processor than its sibling. With the same 1 GHz processor than its successor, the iPhone still provides an excellent Apple experience, at a fraction of the price of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. In the mean time, here are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/nokia\/lumia-800\">Nokia Lumia 800 accessories<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Top 10 Stats<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Of the handsets featured, 6 run Android, 3 run iOS and 1 runs BlackBerry OS. <\/li>\n<li>Samsung is the top Android manufacturer, with four handsets in the top 10; HTC is the other with two. <\/li>\n<li>The BlackBerry Curve 8520 was the only phone to gain a position on last month\u2019s numbers, rising to #5 from #6. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Top 20 Stats<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Apple\u2019s got only three handsets in the top 20, which paints a more realistic picture of the numerous Android phones it competes with.<\/li>\n<li>BlackBerry has a stronger performance here, with four handsets in the top 20.<\/li>\n<li>Android still rules the roost, with 12 of 20 handsets running Android, most with Android 2.2 or Android 2.3.<\/li>\n<li>The most improved handset was the Nokia Lumia 800, which shot up to 20th place to become the highest ranking Windows phone, and the only Windows Phone in the top 20.<\/li>\n<li>The Desire was the phone with the most variants in the top 20, with the original, Desire HD and Desire S all making it in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interesting stuff \u2013 I wonder how far the Lumia 800 will climb!
