Here at Mobile Fun, we measure each handsets performance against its peers, looking at its page views, sales and more. This gives us a unique viewpoint as to the most actively used handsets for a given period, which reveals more than just handset sales in isolation. We\u2019re also handset agnostic; we\u2019re as happy to support Android handsets as iPhones, or Windows Phones as BlackBerries. <\/p>\n

We thought we\u2019d release this top 20 list to our readers, to give them a better idea of what headsets are trending. As well as the big names you\u2019d expect, there are quite a few surprises as well. Let\u2019s get right into it!<\/p>\n

1. Samsung Galaxy S2<\/h3>\n

The Samsung Galaxy S2 still rules the roost, seven months after it was first launched in the EU. The phone\u2019s combination of incredibly high-powered internals, a slim figure and gorgeous 4.3\u201d screen have continued to prove popular. Samsung have announced the phone will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich early next year, ensuring it’ll continue to be relevant even as phones with bigger displays and quad-core processors launch. The Samsung Galaxy S2 won\u2019t back down without a fight.<\/p>\n

2. Apple iPhone 4<\/h3>\n

The iPhone 4 pips its younger brother, the 4S, to the second place spot. The older phone provides arguably better value than the iPhone 4S, as it comes with most of the the same hardware and software. That\u2019s not bad for a phone that was released in June last year. As the iPhone 4S comes down in price though, expect the iPhone 4 to fall a few places.<\/p>\n

3. Apple iPhone 4S<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The iPhone 4S comes with a few added features compared to the iPhone 4, including a faster dual-core processor, a powerful f\/2.4 camera and Siri, the voice-controlled AI assistant. While it comes at a premium price, the iPhone 4S has seen massive sales from the Apple faithful. It\u2019ll surely beat its older brother some day, but for now it remains in third place.<\/p>\n

4. Samsung Galaxy Note<\/h3>\n

The mammoth Samsung Galaxy Note is an amazing half-way house between a tablet and a smartphone, with a gorgeous HD 5.3\u201d screen and a powerful set of internals, similar to the popular Galaxy S2. The Note comes with its own custom stylus and associated software, making it a great phone to take notes on. The unusual handset seems to be love it or hate it, but for many it\u2019s impossible to ignore such a bright and beautiful screen. It\u2019ll be interesting to see if the Note remains a mainstay of this list, or whether it\u2019ll drop in the face of other HD phones like the Galaxy Nexus.<\/p>\n

5. BlackBerry 8520 Curve<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The BlackBerry 8520 Curve is the oldest handset on the list, still jumping into the #5 spot from #6 last time. The phone was released in August 2009, so it\u2019s done well to stand the test of time. While it doesn\u2019t support 3G, it provides that winning combination of a solid QWERTY keyboard and the intensely popular BBM app at a very low price. This has made it one of the most desirable BlackBerry phones for the past three years, both for economical business people and cash-strapped teenagers. Will it ever be stopped? It\u2019s hard to tell.<\/p>\n

It sports a solid qHD screen, a quick dual core processor and its popular HTC Sense UI. The Sensation has been upgraded with a number of variants recently, including the super-sized Sensation XL and the faster, Beats-Audio-enabled Sensation XE. The original still beats both variants though, holding a #6 rank.<\/p>\n

7. Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Samsung Galaxy Ace (the Korean variant of which is pictured above) is the third-oldest Android phone in the top 10, being released in November last year. The Galaxy Ace is the more affordable middle child of the original Galaxy S family, and comes with a 3.5\u201d screen and slower processor than its sibling. The Galaxy Ace still looks the part though, with a nice if a bit plasticky aesthetic.<\/p>\n

8. Apple iPhone 3GS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Yep, you guessed it \u2013 the third oldest iPhone still commands a top 10 position on our list. With the same 1 GHz processor than its successor, the iPhone still provides an excellent Apple experience, at a fraction of the price of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The iPhone 3GS lacks that beautiful Retina display of the newer models, but will likely stick around for some time to come.<\/p>\n

9. Samsung Galaxy S<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The phone was released back in February last year, making it the oldest Android phone on the list, but it\u2019s held up well over time. The phone\u2019s easy to root too, which overcomes its biggest drawback, its limited internal storage capacity.<\/p>\n
