There are a variety of Galaxy S II car holders<\/a> floating around, including the very lovely Gripwise, which I blogged on earlier in the week.\u00a0 But for some people, only the real McCoy will do \u2013 and here it is, on my desk today, the Genuine Samsung Galaxy S II Vehicle Dock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been taking a look at it and it really does seem immensely sturdy, unlike some unofficial car holders, which just goes to show that you really do get what you pay for with something like this.\u00a0 It\u2019s also pretty stylish and good-looking, and you can attach it to either your dashboard or your windscreen, which means it shouldn\u2019t block your view too much (safety first!)<\/p>\n

It also has an in-built Galaxy S II charger<\/a>, which personally I think is a must for car holders if you\u2019re thinking of using your smartphone instead of a SatNav.\u00a0 The sad fact is that smartphone batteries simply aren\u2019t up to much \u2013 even the comparatively powerful Galaxy S II battery<\/a> \u2013 and GPS will drain them like nobody\u2019s business.\u00a0 With a car charger included then you at least know you\u2019re not suddenly going to run out of power half way through a long journey, leaving you stranded in the middle of Ashby-de-la-Zouche or similar.<\/p>\n
