If you\u2019re one of the lucky ones who managed to get their hands on the iPad 2 last week, or you\u2019re planning to do so soon, then the chances are that you\u2019re pretty tech-savvy.\u00a0 Tech-savvy enough to realise that the so-called “iPad 2 Smart Cover<\/a>” may, indeed, be very very smart (You can hang it on a fridge! It has cool magnets inside! It does an amazing foldy-uppy thing like an origami bird!) but it doesn\u2019t exactly offer 100% protection.<\/p>\n

In fact it only really offers 50% protection, and the minute you shove that gorgeously slim slice of tech into your bag, you\u2019re risking attacks from all of your other horrible spiky belongings.\u00a0 Frankly, they\u2019re probably pretty jealous of the amount of affection you\u2019ve been bestowing on your latest toy, so they\u2019re not going to go easy on it!\u00a0 Especially not that lethal set of keys, or that bottle-opener you shoved in there the other week, or anything else a bit sharp you’ve been carrying around.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been chatter across the tech sphere about how best to avoid The Dreaded Scratch, and several manufacturers have been coming up with cases for the back which are compatible with the iPad 2 Smart Covers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One popular method is to go for an iPad 2 screen protector<\/a>, such as the <\/a>Zagg InvisibleShield for iPad 2<\/a>.\u00a0 The InvisibleShield has been a firm favourite for smartphones for ages, because it\u2019s the toughest, most durable scratch-protection film available in the world \u2013 it was originally designed by the military for use on the edges of helicopter blades.\u00a0 Another benefit is that it won\u2019t add any extra bulk to your iPad 2, and (huzzah!) we’ve got some in stock<\/a>.<\/p>\n
