The iPad 2 Smart Cover<\/a> hit the shelves here at Mobile Fun yesterday \u2013 but what some people might not realise is that they aren\u2019t the only iPad 2 covers <\/a>available which boast that already-famous magnetic technology.<\/p>\n

The real innovation of the Smart Cover<\/a> is that the iPad 2 can detect whenever it\u2019s been opened or closed and switch itself in and out of sleep mode accordingly.\u00a0 That saves time (admittedly only the swipe of a finger, but time is everything these days!) but also has the benefit of ensuring that the iPad uses energy as efficiently as possible.<\/p>\n

However, other manufacturers are very sensibly getting in on the act and this magnetic tech is no longer unique to the Smart Cover \u2013 which is great news for people that want more choice in how their iPad 2 cover<\/a> looks and what functions it fulfils!<\/p>\n

SD have brought out three rather gorgeous specimens which use exactly the same magnetic sleep sensor technology as the Smart Cover, as well as being available in a range of styles and colours, so of course we\u2019ve snapped them up.\u00a0 Each of them also incorporates a multi-angle iPad 2 stand<\/a> so that the tablet can be positioned for whatever you\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n
