It’s been a while since any major new sim free phones<\/a> were launched so I’m quite excited to see two pretty big handsets arrive this week.<\/p>\n

First up is the HTC 7 Pro<\/a>, a Windows Phone 7 smart phone with full Qwerty keyboard, and the other is the dust and water resistant Motorola Defy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

HTC 7 Pro<\/a><\/h3>\n

The HTC 7 Pro<\/a> is essentially a HTC HD7, but with a smaller screen and a full, slide out qwerty keyboard. Processor speed, camera resolution and memory are all the same, only the dimensions are different. The HTC 7 Pro is a powerful phone that is designed for those that spend a lot of time emailing or writing out reports.<\/p>\n

The keyboard is well spaced and makes typing considerably more accurate while freeing up valuable space on your screen.<\/p>\n

Motorola Defy<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Defy<\/a> is the latest Android running handset from Motorola, but instead of being ‘just another smart phone’, Motorola have added a few features that really make it stand out from the crowd – the main one being that the phone is dust and water resistant.<\/p>\n

This will no doubt appeal to any one who works in a dusty\/wet environment, but also anyone who’s a bit of a party animal and forever spilling drinks on their phone!<\/p>\n

Other impressive features are a 3.7″ screen, dual microphones for noise cancellation, 5mp camera with flash, Internet browser with Flash support and support for DLNA (What is DLNA<\/a>).<\/p>\n
