{"id":10153,"date":"2010-10-25T14:22:39","date_gmt":"2010-10-25T13:22:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/blog\/?p=10153"},"modified":"2010-11-03T12:07:24","modified_gmt":"2010-11-03T11:07:24","slug":"htcs-holy-trinity-of-windows-7-handsets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/blog\/2010\/10\/htcs-holy-trinity-of-windows-7-handsets\/","title":{"rendered":"HTC&#8217;s Holy Trinity of Windows 7 Handsets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft\u2019s brand new Windows Phone 7 platform launched yesterday, bringing a ton of exciting new developments with it; perhaps most notably, the integration with Xbox live, letting the user experience console-like gaming on their mobile handset.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft have been working with a variety of designers, and phones are available at launch from LG, HTC and Samsung.\u00a0 Since three out of the five handsets available at launch are HTC, though, I\u2019m going to concentrate on those for the moment.<\/p>\n<p>It will certainly prove a big step for HTC, who this year have been on the up and up with a range of high-end, best-selling Android devices (most notably the HTC Desire).<\/p>\n<p>We haven\u2019t managed to get our mitts on the handsets for a proper look at them yet, but it\u2019s only a matter of time as they\u2019re launching across the country this week.\u00a0 At first glance, the main draw-back to the handsets seems to be that they don\u2019t have a MicroSD card slot, meaning you have to make do with the on-board memory.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10155\" style=\"width: 272px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-10155\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/blog\/2010\/10\/htcs-holy-trinity-of-windows-7-handsets\/trophy7\/\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10155\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10155\" title=\"Trophy7\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Trophy7-262x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"262\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-10155\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">HTC 7 Trophy<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Here\u2019s a brief low-down of the three:<\/p>\n<p><strong>HTC 7 Mozart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By all accounts, the Mozart is an aesthetically pleasing phone, with Engadget describing it as \u201cclassy\u201d and ITPro as \u201cgood looking\u201d.\u00a0 Of the three, this looks to be the definite choice if it\u2019s the media experience you\u2019re after; with integrated Microsoft Zune, you can sync your phone with your PC media library. \u00a0Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD give you virtual surround sound.\u00a0 Though the 3.7 inch screen is more than generous, if you\u2019re keen on a more visual experience you\u2019d be better off with bigger brothers the HTC 7 Trophy or 7 HD.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/htc\/mozart\">HTC 7 Mozart accessories<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>HTC 7 Trophy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Trophy, on the other hand, looks like a great choice for gamers \u2013 my little brother\u2019s already salivating over it.\u00a0 With a 4\u20193 inch screen and integrated Xbox live, it gives an immersive experience so that you\u2019ll never be away from the action for too long.\u00a0 On the other hand, we have trouble prising my brother away from the Xbox as it is, so your mileage may vary on whether being able to game wherever you are is a good thing or not!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/htc\/trophy\">HTC 7 Trophy accessories<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>HTC HD7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The HD7 is your own pocket cinematic experience, whether you\u2019re a budding film director or more of a coach potato.\u00a0 It comes with a 5 megapixel camera and can both shoot and playback video in HD, giving your home movies that professional sheen.\u00a0 Like the Trophy, the screen is an enormous 4.3 inches, so it&#8217;s definitely important to invest in a good <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/htc\/hd7\/cases\">HTC HD7 cover<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilefun.co.uk\/htc\/hd7\">HTC HD7 accessories<\/a><\/p>\n\n<!-- WP QUADS Content Ad Plugin v. 2.0.27.4 -->\n<div class=\"quads-location quads-ad1\" id=\"quads-ad1\" style=\"float:none;margin:0px 0 0px 0;text-align:center;\">\n<div id=\"bari-widget\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft\u2019s brand new Windows Phone 7 platform launched yesterday, bringing a ton of exciting new developments with it; perhaps most notably, the integration with Xbox live, letting the user experience console-like gaming on their mobile handset.
