Car kit review

This product's like all others that try to be more than one thing at a time. the tom tom part is basic but good, the car kit enhances the signal well. The hands free side is a disappointment, you have turn the apps off to make a call.I also think you need an external arial as you get drop off in signal on hands free, useless really. Oh well. Keep trying tom tom..

This comes in the form of a new windscreen docking station, called the TomTom Car Kit that offers a loudspeaker so you can hear the directions, the ability to place the iPhone on your windscreen and a charging option so you aren't out of juice at the end of your journey.

The TomTom car kit also offers secure docking, enhanced GPS performance, clear voice instructions and hands-free calling, while charging your iPhone at the same time. The car kit also features a 3.5mm line out jack so you can play your songs through your car stereo (providing stereo has 3.5mm aux socket).

The holder can be rotated so the phone can be viewed in either landscape or portrait mode. The car kit also features a Mini USB charger connection.
