Not Perfect but still very good Waited a long time for this and was it worth the wait? almost. Finally sony ericsson have made a phone that can record decent videos in vga 30fps and is really good even in dark light. The xenon flash - touch focus and of course the extra megapixels make this phone one of the best cameraphone`s out at the moment. Touchscreen takes a little getting used to and does feel different from other touchscreen phones, you do have to press down firmly to make a connection unless your using the stylus which some might find easier to use, but of course everyone gets used to the touch functions in their own way. Video playback is really impressive, sharp, bright and clear. Only one thing though, no music equalizer which is a shame. Box comes with 8gb card, tv/av connector, usb, charger, headphones.
Description of Sim Free Sony Ericsson Satio - Black:
Why Buy
Sony Ericssons first ever 12 Megapixel camera
Massive 3.5'' inch touch screen phone
Great for gaming
Solid build, very good quaility materials
8GB Micro SD card included
This is Sony Ericssons new flagship phone. They have gone the whole nine yards with the camera of the Sony Ericsson Satio, they've given it a 12-megapixel camera with xenon flash and touch focus. The camera is hidden under a sliding cover.
The Satio is pleasingly solid, though light, with build quality reminiscent of Sony Ericsson more robust metal based feature phones. It is finished with metallic materials that re-inforce the feeling of solidity. The camera slide is smooth and similar to other high-end Cybershot devices. Indeed the whole device, subjectively, feels smaller that the pictures suggest. Unlike the Xperia X1 the device is smaller than Sony Ericsson's other high-end phones.
No phone can truly call be a 'multimedia' device without the screen being awesome and it is the case with Satio. The touch screen is generous with its 3.5 inches and 16 million colours. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio (360 x 640 pixels) to emphasize that the phone is aimed at multimedia. 3G and Wi-Fi are on board so streaming content from the Internet won't be a problem.
The OS that the Sony Ericsson Satio runs on, is a new user interface of the well-known Symbian OS based on the S60. That's the first implementation of the spanking new opens-source Symbian user interface developed by the Symbian Foundation.
The Sony Ericsson Satio also has integrated GPS receiver and with that big screen.
You would be rather surprised however that the Sony Ericsson Satio has a microSD memory card slot.
