Straight from the box this phone was a nightmare. It constantly froze and crashed and it was impossible to do anything for any period of time without problems. There is a software update from Nokia but not for UK phones as yet. I reset the phone using *#7370# and reinstalled the existing firmware and now have a brilliant phone. It has a fantastic screen, great feature set and an excellent keyboard. Cant think of any thing missing that I would want apart from a better camera/video performance but then again this is not a media phone. Battery life is superb. My first E series from Nokia and if you can be bothered tweaking it I heartily recommend it.

smart business phone, but looks cheap compared to others in the market. the back battery cover is very thin. The phone itself is full of all the usual business phone requirements. Emails and internet connection is superfast. crashed twice but realised i had four applications opened, otherwise works fine.

The new E52, which is very simalar to the E55 but without the QW-ER-TY packs in WiFi, 3.5G support (HSDPA and HSUPA), a 2.4" QVGA display, A-GPS, an FM radio, multimedia player, microSD expandable memory, a 3.5mm audio socket and stereo Bluetooth.
On the back is a standard 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and VGA-resolution video capture. This is common to many E-Series phones and is very decent.
Underneath, this is a quad-band GSM phone with tri-band UMTS / WCDMA support (frequencies vary according to region). The maximum download speed on HSDPA is 10.2 Mbps, and uploads of up to 2 Mbps can be achieved using HSUPA. These capabilities mean that the E52 will make an excellent tethered modem for a laptop.
The standard sales package includes a 1GB microSD card and a free 60 day trial for Files on Ovi. the card slot is expandable up to a maximum of 16GB. The large 1500 mAh cell can power the E55 for up to 8 hours talktime on 3G and 8 hours on GSM. Standby time is an impressive 23 days on 3G.
