The E51 is my wonder phone
I have written a full review of this phone on my blog at:
http://www.davidgilson.co.uk/2008/12/review-of-nokia-e51-smartphone/
Although here is a copy of the conclusion of my reivew:
Am I glad I bought an E51?
Yes I certainly am.
What do I like most about the E51?
The looks and the size, being able to view all my media, read PDF’s, get my IMAP e-mail and browse the web.
What would I change?
Not that much really. I wish there was an all in one data & charging port. I wish it had a little more processing power for some hi-res video podcasts.

At last a true business phone
Having been a big fan of the original Nokia business phones in the shape of the 6310 and 6230, that loyalty took a serious knock following several months with both the N70 and replacement N80. I can't say I was one of the poor unfortunates who suffered from the much reported software crashes and frozen screens. it's just that the phones failed to do the basics, namey acquire a signal and then have sufficient battery power to make a call. Whilst not receiving the same media or advertising coverage as the all singing all dancing N95's of this world, the E51 quietly sits in the background and does everything any business user could want from a phone. Not only does it look like a professional piece of kit in polished stainless steel, it addresses all the failings of the previous N Series; excellent signal strength, excellent battery life, simple intuitive menus, WLAN, HSDPA that works and a so so easy to set up and use e mail application. Having had the phone nearly 9 months now, I still can't sing its praises enough.

The Nokia E51 isn't about showing off. Even if it does look really good, it's about good old fashioned ease of use with fantastic features to boot. Avoid it if you're looking for a high-end camera phone, otherwise definitely consider it |
