I love this phone!!!
this phone has everything you could wish for. The music player is great, the camera's great, radio, games, features... the lot, its wonderful. It stops me carrying a camera, mp3 and phone when on holiday or on days out. For 1.3 megapixel, its better quality than you expect.
Only gripe is the sliding lock button on the side sometimes comes undone as its in your pocket, other than that, its wonderful and would recommend it to anyone.

W550i
Good Points - clear camera, excellent mp3 player, great games, typical user friendly Sony Ericsson.
Bad Points - Battery life, handsfree & charger have different adaptors to previous Sony Ericssons, external aerial, looks a bit cheap.
Overall a very comprehensive yet user friendly mobile appeals to both older and young mobile users due to the broad range of features. Not the best on the market but certainly not the worst.

Description
The W550i is a Walkman phone full of variety. The form factor is swivel action, and you can use the phone open, closed or angled. Do many things in many ways.
Music on the move
When you have your W550i, you have a digital music player with your favourite songs and FM radio for quality entertainment round the clock. Getting music to your phone using music-copying PC software (supplied in the kit) is easy. Just drag and drop.
Play as you go
The W550i has exciting and fast-moving 3D games in crystal-clear colour. Dedicated gaming action buttons and horizontal two-handed playing give you a true game-console experience. And when you want to play multi-player games with friends – use Bluetooth.
Imaging and video
A built-in 1.3-megapixel camera with a digital camera menu interface means true imaging. One press on the camera button, and you’re ready to shoot. One more and you’re ready to share. And when you need to catch some action, the W550i has video, too.
Easy texting
The keys on the W550i are well spaced to give you optimal ease when writing your messages, calendar information, notes or contact information.
Store and share
There’s enough memory in the W550i to save hundreds of images and video clips. You can browse your thumbnail gallery or view your images in comfortable full-screen mode. The W550i kit comes with Adobe Photoshop album Starter Edition software for storing and editing your images in your PC. Drag and drop images from phone to PC. Easy.
Non-stop entertainment
Even when travelling by air, you can keep on enjoying your W550i. In flight mode, your phone doesn't send or receive any radio signals (transmitters off) and is therefore safe to use during a flight.

| CNET.co.uk judgement |
The W550i is a small but chunky handset with a bevy of neat features but some odd omissions. For example: it's a music phone with 256MB of built-in memory, but no expansion slot; it has ambitions to replace your dedicated music player, but audio playback quality isn't quite up to scratch; and there's a camera with good features and usability, but a self-portrait mirror the size of a pinhead |
