My previous phone was an HTC One M7, the first one. I held on to it because partly I felt that the M8 and M9 weren't much of an improvement, but mainly because I loved it! So when the 10 was announced, I thought this might be the one I'd been waiting for. So far I haven't been let down. The screen is a little bigger and clearer, the cameras are wonderful, and the design is great. The speaker position is a step back, though, as it's hard to position the phone in such a way as to attain a good sound, unlike the Ones. Also it doesn't work with the HTC Boombass as it cuts the phone speakers when connected by Bluetooth. The new home button/fingerprint scanner is excellent; my main gripe with the M7 was the fiddly button on top to wake up the phone, particularly fiddly when you have a case on it. You will want a case for the 10, too. It's just as slippery in the hand as the Ones were. I recommend the Spigen thin case if you have the grey model. It's grippy and well designed.
