I haven't used the battery in earnest as yet but I can't say the life is significantly better than the standard battery. They do however say it needs charging several times before it will hold a full charge, so we'll have to see. This could be why after inserting in to the phone after a full charge, it's being reported as only 90% full. The battery comes with a replacement back as the battery is significantly larger than the original and so the standard item won't fit. The back is of poor quality in comparison to the stock item and takes some force to actually slide it on and off. This also means that the phone won't fit in its case or docks such as desktop multimedia or car dock. Time will tell if it delivers significantly more usage time, but it is only really any use as a supplementary battery to use on a long journey on the train for example. With hind sight maybe I should have just bought a couple of spare standard batteries.
