World's first quadricopter controlled by and iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad

Take to the skies with the Parrot AR.Drone. Designed specifically for iOS devices, the AR.Drone is a uniquely designed quadricopter, which means it has 4 independent blades giving it full 360° movement. It also contains a miniaturised inertial measurement unit that helps keep the AR.Drone stable and assists with tilt control, making it simple to control. There is also an ultrasound telemeter to provide altitude measurements, which allows the unit to automatically stabilise altitude so you won't find your AR.Drone flying out of reach.

Play with other users via a Wi-Fi network

Thanks to the on-board Wi-Fi technology, the Parrot AR.Drone can communicate with other units on a wireless network, allowing you create a game party and play against your friends. There is already one multiplayer game available on the App Store, AR.PURSUIT, which in combination with the three different hull colours that are available (sold separately) allows you to stage an augmented reality battle between two AR.Drones.

Designed for use both inside and outside

The Parrot AR.Drone is designed for both inside and outside use. You can adapt it to any situation using the two hulls provided. The full hull shield protects the AR.Drone from impacts that will occur during wild battles against enemies hidden in the rooms of your house, while the streamlined hull is aerodynamic, allowing greater control outside.

Live video feed on your iPhone screen

The Parrot AR.Drone features two cameras for complete control over your unit. The front facing camera lets you see what's coming, while the camera underneath the AR.Drone lets you target whatever your AR.Drone is flying over. Switching between cameras is simple with a dedicate button on the iOS application, while pictures are kept crystal clear and smooth as they are transmitted via Wi-Fi.

Download new games to play onto your iOS device

The AR.Drone is more than just an RC vehicle. By using the cameras and sensors, Parrot has been able to create exciting augmented reality games for you to play either against the computer or against your friends. The first application, AR.FREEFLIGHT, gives you full control of your AR.Drone via on-screen joysticks or tilt control, and is available for free. The second game, AR.PURSUIT, lets you hunt another AR.Drone with augmented reality weapons, both inside and out. And coming soon is AR.FLYING ACE, an intense dogfight between two AR.Drones that can be fought either inside or in the wild.
