After a stellar experience with the 'Official' Cover+ series for the S3 and the S4, unfortunately it seems that Samsung went easy with this one. While some previous official cases were marvelous engineering; this outwardly appears a plain jane jelly case in a rather expensive package.
Built from clear TPU with dark grey infusions, hence would suit almost any S5 color save the gold version. Good protection along with improved feel on the buttons. Slim profile is preserved. Sides are protected, almost fully sealed and lip gives good depth to the screen. Too much width added to the sides and overall footprint is significantly higher.
Make no mistake though; the TPU infusions and material blending which minimizes ungainly light leakages in the clear case are very well done; almost perfect, but you could have expected something a bit more sophisticated. Case is devoid of any branding; leaving a transparent window for the original dimpled back Samsung logo; which seems a decent design choice.
Recommended for those who prefer ‘Official’ products; but there may be alternatives at a similar cost. Just browse around. If you really want this, I would suggest trying a retail sample first.
