The device is designed to lay on top of even flat-panel TVs and lets users participate in multi-user chats during games. Recommended for the game Animal Crossing: City Folk which is the only first-party game confirmed to use WiiSpeak.

The WiiSpeak microphone allows internet voice chat among Wii friends – not just from person to person but from room to room.
