Bought these for my boyf for xmas and me being the gadget head of the duo, I'm reviewing! On first view, the packaging lets these down, in that for a gift it looks cheap, like its off a market stall, however once you use these you see they are actually pretty decent especially for the price. They are a strange in-between combo, being not over the ear and not in-ear so have hard plastic lumps that just sit in the outer ear without going inside the ear canal. The effect is great though as you can't hear music leaking out (as someone nearby) and you can't hear people speaking to you while wearing them, so good for cancelling out background distractions. The whole thing is pretty comfy too and fits my female smaller head and my boyf's too, looking stylish and discrete on both. They even fit really well under my floppy beanie style hat and you can't tell I'm listening to my music! Fab! The band is adjustable too with a metal section you can see that adjusts on each side so it looks symmetrical and again this is aesthetically pleasing. It is flexible so allows to be positioned on your head to your liking. It doesn't really fit behind your head though as the ear buds don't sit correctly in your ear if you do and it overhangs the back of your head somewhat but as it looks so discrete, I think its cool over your head anyway. Pairing was easy with iPhone 4, HTC Desire and Macbook Pro and each is recognised automatically from then on. The buttons to control volume and tracks work great on all these devices. Only disappointment is using with the PS3, as PS3 doesn't support the stereo bluetooth AD2P Profile, so you can only hear voices and speak via the built in mic, you can't hear game sounds effects or music, so they are no good for me having a quiet life while OH plays Call of Duty! Really annoyed at Sony about this in such a forward thinking system that supports 3D and Lovefilm and gets updates all the time. Finally the sound quality is great, if you don't expect the world on a stick! I am still pretty hard to please though and don't do tinny weak sounding headphones and poor quality gadgets so I feel with these that there is enough bass and treble + volume and it is far better than cheap headsets that come with the iPhone and HTC Desire. As the ear buds block out sound you get a good sense of all the tones and you don't need to keep adjusting them like in ear buds so I think this would be great for sports like running and gym use as well as for sitting on public transport. The Mic works great too and is clear when speaking and on the other end listening. I actually really like these and for the money you can't go wrong but being a tech head I just wish they could bring these out with the Apt-X codec to support Hi Fi quality sound now coming out in its infancy. I'd pay a bit more for that even though the working range on these is really good, as in sound doesn't break up when your device is across the room. Hope this review helps you as the points mentioned are things I wondered about before I bought these. These are not audiophile standard but having not used any that are, I would say buy these and I don't think you'll be disappointed. :) You
