I bought this case on a recommendation from my Stepson after I dropped my Samsung S7 while on holiday. The case is fairly substantial, increasing the weight and size of the phone by quite a lot, but it will be well protected. If I am wearing a suit I have to take it out of the case to fit in my pocket! But the only real gripe I have is the charging point bung, it is fairly flimsy and broke off within days, I tried gluing it back, but failed. I'm not sure if I could get a replacement, but I'm sure the same would happen. But on the whole if you need good protection for your phone, it is ideal, but I would not trust it to be waterproof.
I bought this case after my Samsung S7 was repaired after being dropped and skittled face down on the pavement, supposedly protected by Samsung's own case. The case is quite substantial and quite heavy, it looks like it can take some battering. The touch screen still works very well, but will need constant cleaning. I'm not sure about it being waterproof, and the only major gripe is the rubber bung for the charging port is very flimsy, and tore off within a couple of days, hopefully I can get a spare bung. Overall a good, protective case.
This case is exactly what I needed being an engineer I am always working in harsh environments which could easily damage my phone. Having this case helps me know that in an event where my phone does fall that this case will stand up to the job at protecting it.
Good looking robust case shame its not dust or even water proof.
This was the second case I bought having returned an Otterbox. I had one of those for my S5 and it was great - fully sealed. The Otterbox for the S7 arrived with cutouts in the case for the front light sensor and rear camera lens. So I went for the Love Mei. It has the same issue. What's the point of a tough case that doesn't entirely seal the phone inside?!
The Love Mei is certainly tough and I have no doubt the phone will be kept safe from getting smashed but water can get in it between the case screen and phone screen and over time I'm sure so will dust.
In its favour the screen protector is glass and the screen looks brilliant through it (Otterbox is plastic). So far it hasn't got a single scratch showing on it (6 weeks use). The port covers are very good and sturdy and the case frame is metal. The downside to that is that it makes it pretty heavy and the phone pretty large.
I have also found that with the phone face down on the dash of my van, two of the screws holding the case together rattled out. A little bit of thread lock on the screws has fixed that. And it even comes with spare screws which is good.
problem with the sensitivity of the phone
I bought the same cover for work for my Sony z5 it was great this is why I chose it again for my Samsung but this time I was not 100 % satisfied because a lots of the time I had to type I really have to push really hard and sometimes I get stuck and I cannot carry on and I have to take the cover off.
I still don't understand if is a problem with the cover maybe thicker or different material from the one I bought for my Sony or is the different sensitivity on the Samsung .Otherwise excellent for protection and fitting
