Brilliant headset
The Jawbone Prime headset exceeds expectations in the most professional way. The packaging is brilliant and very thoughtful, everything first class and a pleasure to receive. The USB charging cable “clips” onto the end of the Jawbone headset in a seamless link, again elegantly designed and pleasing the gadget addict in me. The headset comes with a wide range of really nice earpiece covers allowing a comfortable but secure fit. Finally you make a call and all the brilliant design elements are overtaken by crystal clear call quality and noise reduction technology. I love my new Jawbone headset and recommend it unreservedly.

Frustrating.Brilliant Tech.Horrific Fit.
Kept persisting with the Jawbones 'cos the anti-noise tech is so good as is the ease of connection. Getting the things to stay where they're supposed to is another matter.1st was a Jawbone 2.After 2 weeks and purchase of Fig 8 ear-buds managed to get a reasonable grip, all be it with the bud the wrong way round and some selective reshaping of one of the ear hooks. When this went missing, thought my experience would allow me to fit the Yello to suit with some ease. Not a bit of it!! Despite 6 different size and shaped buds and 4 sized hooks am constantly having to re position or catch it as it cascades to the ground.AAAHHH so frustrating, 'cos if anything the noise and wind suppression on the Prime is superior even to the 2.. I feel that this system, where something has to be kept against the face or throat would be better suited to a behind the ear unit with the weight supported by the the whole of the outer ear. Aliph should get together with Jabra whose transmission is lousy but whose comfort and non ear filling buds are brilliant. Tech 5 Stars but over all 3

Description

Aliph, with Jawbone PRIME™, has once again obsoleted itself with the latest and greatest in NoiseAssassin technology delivering an order of magnitude better noise elimination performance, an integrated digital approach to wind reduction, and a fail-safe solution if the VAS does not touch the face

Noise Assasin 2.0.

Jawbone has been able to eliminate real world noise better than any other headset because it is the only headset that can accurately separate speech from ambient noise.

Jawbone PRIME has even better background noise elimination than the previous generations. NoiseAssasin™ 2.0 delivers an order of magnitude improvement in the noisiest environments (6 to 9dB) extracting even more noise while keeping the user's voice natural.

AVAD.

Acoustic Voice Activity Detector (AVAD) provides a fail-safe mechanism when the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) doesn't touch your face. When the VAS is not touching the face, Jawbone PRIME performs as good as or better than any other noise cancelling headset. When the VAS touches the face, you get the turbo-boost to the NoiseAssassin performance.

Works in the wind.

After solving NoiseAssassination in the most severe noise environments, Aliph focused its engineers on the task of eliminating the impact wind has on speech. With their strong background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques, the Aliph team developed a unique all digital Sensor Signal Fusion system to reduce wind noise.

Jawbone PRIME uses an algorithm that digitally fuses together the best audio from its two electret microphones (the clean preserved high-end frequencies of speech) and its patented Voice Activity Sensor (the low-end frequencies of speech) to create a single, natural sounding speech signal.

The industry-standard microphone approach used by most headset companies fails as the microphones become saturated with wind noise distorting the low-end frequencies of speech (as noticed when you use your handset in a windy environment). By leveraging some innovative DSP techniques and Jawbone's proprietary Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) to reconstruct the missing speech Aliph has implemented a wind solution that maintains award-winning design without having to apply a visually disruptive wind-sock or baffle to physically block the wind.
