The Freedom Mini Duo slim folding keyboard is only just larger than a credit card, it measures 92 x 71 x 12mm when closed and only 176 x 71 x 6mm when open. It is the first Bluetooth keyboard to boast “Dual Standard”, operated by a slide switch, choice can be/ made between operating in the SPP (Serial Port Profile) mode or in the HID (Human Interface Device) mode.

SPP makes it compatible with BlackBerry devices, Smart Phones and most other advanced Bluetooth enabled Mobile Phones and PDAs, associated drivers that are provided with the keyboard allow short cuts and programmable keys to be used. The HID mode permits “Out of the Box” alphanumeric compatibility with many products including PCs, Laptops and many PDAs using the HID technology.

The keyboard has 62 individual keys, the On/Off switch which also serves as the selection switch between the two modes of operation. The internal battery gives up to 9hrs continuous use and 45hrs of standby time. It is rechargeable via the provided USB cable and an AC mains charger can be purchased as an optional accessory. A version 1.2 Bluetooth chip set is used, going up to 10metres operating distance.
