good purchase

Makes the HTC hero a usable smartphone - beforehand the battery could be drained in an hour whereas now it has far more stamina. It does make the phone feel a bit chunky though.

Stupid android becomes more intelligent

The HTC 'android'(Hero) - as a 'phone- is the least effective I have used in thirty years of wireless communications: added to which, when 3G is switched, or wefi, the power consumption consumes the standard battery power within 90 minutes! This battery (with its very necessary case)boosts useful power to last up to 5 hours, in similar circumstances and nearly all day, when switched to '2G' only.

The extended battery provides more power than the original battery and as a result of this the battery is larger than the original. Included with the battery is a replacement back cover which is larger than the original to compensate for the extended battery.
