Brodit Passive Holder - HTC Wildfire

Great product, does exactly what it says it does, holds the phone well and is fully adjustable for my car (Mondeo). Just a word of warning when fitting the bracket, cover up your cigar lighter if anywhere below the fitting space. I dropped one of the screws and ended up blowing the fuses. Operator error, but just be careful.

Excellent product

Realising that my new HTC Wildfire would need charging far more often than my old Nokia, I bought this holder to make it easier to charge the phone on the move (bought the charger separately). It was easy enough to fit, and even though it is only screwed lightly into the vinyl covered foam of my dashboard, it seems quite secure. The only problem is that because of the curvy nature of the dash (mk2 Ford Mondeo of 1998 vintage), the maximum angle is used just to get the phone to face directly backwards. That said, even though it is nearer passenger than driver, it is within easy reach, allowing you to answer a call and activate the loud speaker easily enough. I may investigate a Brodit Pro-clip, which I believe may solve my mounting problems.

Description

The Brodit Passive holder is a secure in car holder for your HTC Wildfire.

Its lightly padded design ensures that your HTC Wildfire doesn't get scratched when being used in the holder. The holder has an adjustable tilt/swivel base that allows you to adjust the angle of the phone to avoid light reflection. The open style of the holder leaves the charging port, headphone socket and speakers fully accessible. A portable handsfree or a charging cable can be connected to the HTC Wildfire when it is in the holder.

What else might you need?

The Brodit Passive holder is deisgned to be fixed to your dashboard, either using a Brodit ProClip, or by screwing into the dashboard directly. This holder can also be attached to a Universal Suction Mount. To keep your HTC Wildfire charged in the car, you will also need a car charger.

Whats included with the Brodit Passive Holder?
