BlueAnt Q1 is a brand-new headset that features a full voice interface with a stylish gunmetal design.
BlueAnt is certainly not resting. It just announced the BlueAnt Q1, a brand-new headset that combines the voice interface technology with a stylish gunmetal design.
Like the V1, you can quickly redial, return a missed call and check how the headset and iPhone batteries are holding up. If you carry personal and business phones, you can swap between them by holding the increase volume button. Despite the presence of these buttons, the headset automatically adjusts to background noise. Charging is via the mains adaptor or micro USB to your Mac, and you get two sizes of soft earbuds. The ear hook's mount pivots and the hook's vertical position is adjustable, too. The Q1 makes one big improvement to the V1 and that's the numbered references to all eight speed dial slots, rather than having names such as 'voicemail' assigned to the first few. This avoids illogical pairings if you actually have a full Favorites list. On top of this, the speaker's clarity is better, making it easier to hear the other person and hold a conversation.
The new design promises to "virtually eliminate" wind and road noise, handling wind speeds up to 10 miles per hour. It also boasts dual microphone wind noise reduction, echo cancellation, and digital signal processing software for clearer voices. Other features include automatic pairing and reconnection to the phone, automatic volume control, dynamic receive signal frequency equalization, and multi-point technology, which lets you connect to two phones simultaneously. And, of course, it has that BlueGenie voice interface that the V1 has.

The device is quite the looker; slim with a metallic sheen. It measures 2.17 inches by 0.63 inch by 0.27 inch, has up to 4 hours of talk time, and 120 hours of standby time.
