We’re happy to announce that Mobile Fun will be stocking the Samsung Galaxy S III sim free… in black! As far as we know, we’re the first to announce a price and release date for the new phone.
The new colour scheme looks fantastic when paired with the S3′s sweeping curves and thin frame, with a subtle texture that looks fantastic as you move it in the light.
Of course, this new black Samsung Galaxy S III has all of the raw performance and clever software as the Pebble Blue or Marble White variants, with a magnificent 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 Quad processor, 1 GB of RAM and beautiful 4.8″ Super AMOLED display that eclipses everything on the market today.
The Galaxy S III is also host to Samsung’s Nature UX additions to Android 4, featuring clever software that will keep the phone on when you’re looking at it, allow you to watch video picture-in-picture or even control your phone with S Voice. If Samsung’s modifications aren’t to your liking, you can flash a custom Jelly Bean ROM to pair the Galaxy S III’s powerful internals with stock Android.
If you do decide to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S III in black, then you’ve got to check out our Galaxy S3 covers as well – I’d recommend getting the Gear4 Thin Ice Gloss Case if you’re looking for a slim and trim way of adding that crucial extra protection that’ll keep your S3 looking clean and unscuffed months down the road.

At less than £10, the HDTV Adapter is a bit of a bargain and means you can recycle your old lead. It’s really easy to use too – just clip it on to your existing MHL lead and you can plug it straight into your S3.
This means you can now start streaming media through your HDMI port no problems and you haven’t had to throw your old lead away.
This is officially our favourite Samsung Galaxy S3 accessory ever!
On first glance you might be a little confused as to what this is and exactly what it does: but simply put the Galaxy S3 Connection Kit has the ability to turn your S3 into a computer, save a lot of memory on your S3 and even be a Samsung Galaxy S3 charger – all from one little accessory.
Still not convinced? Then check out the video of the Connection Kit in action below:
There’s been a lot of rumours floating around the last couple of days regarding the release date of the Samsung Galaxy SIII Sim Free in Pebble Blue. This morning we received official word from Samsung about the status of the handset.
“Samsung’s Galaxy SIII Pebble Blue version comes with a newly invented blue colour and special hyper-glaze material.
In order to meet the highest internal quality standards and to provide the best quality Galaxy SIII to customers, a short supply of Pebble Blue version is expected in some regions in the next 2-3 weeks.
Samsung is working hard to ensure that customers will get the Pebble Blue coloured devices as soon as possible.”
This does affect pre-orders of the Pebble Blue handset from ourselves, however any pre-orders on the Ceramic White handset won’t be affected and we’re still expecting them in stock this week as originally planned.
The news of the Pebble Blue version may be upsetting to those who were really looking forward to getting the handset, but on the bright side at least it gives you longer to stock up on Samsung Galaxy SIII accessories and you can see the latest videos of the Official accessories here.
What are your thoughts on the delay? Surely it’s better that Samsung take the time to ensure the handsets look perfect or do you think they were under-prepared for the massive pre-order numbers? Let us know through the usual channels!
Popular case-manufacturer Otterbox have finally announced their full line of Galaxy S3 cases and we’ve got the first images up right here. The cases come in two varieties and five colours each, for a total of ten different options overall! I’ve got to say that they look fantastic, too, with cool designs that complement the S3′s curvaceous shape.
The Otterbox Commuter is a beautiful balance of size and protective ability, packing a lot into a little. The Commuter makes the S3 only slightly bulkier, but delivers a large measure of impact and scratch resistance thanks to its unique three layer system.
There are exposed silicone corners for impact dissipation, a smooth outer layer that enhances grip and resists scratches, and an included screen protector to prevent damaging the 4.8″ display. There are even silicone plugs to protect the charging port as well.
If you’re looking for a good blend of style, size and safety then the Otterbox Commuter is definitely an excellent choice. Check out the links below for more information:
Our second line of Otterbox products is called the Defender Series. These Defender SGS3 cases offer an increased level of protection compared to the Commuter, but are slightly thicker in turn.
It all starts with a dedicated thermal formed screen protector that provides impressive protection for the Galaxy S3′s titanic screen. The inner core of the phone is wrapped in a customised polycarbonate shell, enhancing the phone’s rigidity and resistance to crushing damage. Finally, all of this is covered with a final shock absorbing silicone wrap.
As before, the charging port and audio jack are covered with a silicone plug to prevent dust and moisture from reaching the phone’s innards. The Otterbox Defender also comes with a belt clip and holder in the package, so that you can affix it your person for easy accessibility when you’re travelling or working.
All in all, the Otterbox Defender is a great choice if you’re looking for a maximum protection solution – if you have an active lifestyle or just are a bit accident prone, the Otterbox Defender for the Galaxy S III is the perfect case. Check out the links below for more information:
