I’m pretty sure that an iPhone or iPod touch will be at the top of a lot of Christmas lists this year. If you, or someone you know is getting one, there are loads of iPhone accessories that would make a great Christmas present, so here are some of our top iPhone cases, covers and other accessories that will make the perfect gift.
Power Support make the best screen protectors money can buy. They fit brilliantly and prevent scratches to the front and back of your iPhone 4. The anti glare one makes reading your screen easier and also helps prevent irritating fingerprints.
Jawbone headsets are amongst the best you can get. The Icon is the latest headset and features advanced noise cancellation technology. The Icon works great with the iPhone 4 and even shows you how much battery is remaining on the screen of your phone. You can also download audioapps to the headset, these will change the way that the headset talks to you when you get an incoming call, want to check your battery level and make a call.
The TypeTop is a protective case with space to store a Mini Bluetooth Keyboard (included). Similar cases for the iPad have been around for a while, but it’s taken a long time for them to make an appearance for the iPhone. Your iPhone is held in place by a secure plastic holder and the keyboard is gripped by some leather covered clips that won’t scratch or mark the glass on the front of your phone. Cut outs on the back of the case allow you to still use the camera and a small built in kick stand will hold your phone at just the right angle for typing while you’re sat at your desk.
The KitSound BoomDock Docking Station is a powerful speaker dock for all iPhones and iPods. It’s a solid wood case with 22 watt speakers and plenty of bass. It has a built in radio, alarm clock and can also be connected to other audio devices such as laptops or dvd players. It also includes a remote control
For years I’ve wanted to be able to control the TV and Blu-Ray player with my phone, mainly because you can never find the remotes and my iPhone is never far from reach. This add on accessory allows you to turn your iPhone into a universal remote control that can operate any TV, Stereo, VCR, Blu-Ray – anything that uses an InfraRed remote. All you need to do is download a free app from iTunes, arrange the buttons to how you want them and then train it using your existing remotes.
iPhone owners love showing off their phone and this is a great way to wow your friends. It’s a portable projector that connects to your iPhone dock and can project video up to a massive 70 inches in size! No messing around with cables or streaming video from one device to another, just dock your iPhone, play your video and sit back to enjoy your films as large as you like!
Want to hook your iPhone up to your HDTV with minimum of effort? Then you’ll need one of these and a HDMI cable. Simply plug the adapter into the base of your phone, plug in the HDMI and you’re ready to go. It transfers both Audio and Video so you’ll only need the one cable and is a great alternative to streaming video from your phone using Airplay and an Apple TV.
The OtterBox Defender for iPhone 4 is just about the toughest case you can get. It’s a three layered case that really does keep your phone safe. It has a soft outer rubber shell, a hard plastic frame and a membrane layer to protect the screen. No other case currently offers the same amount of protection.
The Dexim solar dock does more than just hold your phone. It’s got 2 built in solar panels that will recharge your phone’s battery while it’s docked. It doesn’t need to be in direct sunlight, just anywhere that there is natural light.
The Barely There range of cases for iPhone 4 are one of our most popular. They look great and do a great job of protecting the back and sides of your phone against dents and scratches. They come with a screen protector so that all of your phone is protected. Barely There cases are extremely thin, so thin in fact that you may not even realise you’ve got one on.
Carrying all your music around with you is great. You can listen to what you want when you want – unless you’re in the car of course. There’s a way round that using the KitPerfect FM transmitter. It’s a compact holder and charger that can stream your music from your phone to your car stereo using a built in FM Transmitter. All you need to do in order to enjoy your music in the car is to tune your stereo in to the same frequency as the KitPerfect and press play in the iPod app.
If you’re still not sure what to get, why not get them a bit of everything? The iPhone 4 Supreme Pack includes 12 iPhone 4 accessories, including 5 bumpbers, a 3.5mm audio cable, dock, stylus, screen protector, car charger, headphone splitter and a pair of earphones – a bargian at less than £30. Buying the same items individually would cost you over £90.
That’s just 10 of our iPhone Accessories that would make great gifts this Christmas. If you’ve not seen anything here that’s on their Christmas list, head over to the main site and check out our full range of iPhone Accessories and other Christmas Gift Ideas.
