SIM-free HTC Wildfire available from Mobile Fun

Have you been coveting the Desire but not wanting to shell out on such a costly high end phone? There’s good news, as its baby brother, the HTC Wildfire is now available SIM-free from Mobile Fun for the much lower price of £229.95.

The SIM Free HTC Desire is also available from Mobile Fun priced at £389.95.

Visually the Wildfire does look very similar to the Desire, and is just as sleek and gorgeous; however, there are several key differences that you’ll notice if you’re familiar with both.  Just like most younger siblings, the SIM Free HTC Wildfire is a little smaller and lighter than its big brother, making it handier to carry around with you all day.  Boasting a 3.2 inch display and at 240 x 320 pixels, the Wildfire is lower resolution than the Desire whilst still giving you a remarkable experience.  This has the added bonus of making your battery power last much longer, something which can sometimes be seen as a drawback of smartphones with huge screens such as the Desire and the Sony Ericsson Vivaz.

With a capacitive touch screen, 5 megapixel camera, microSD, GPS and everything else you’d expect from a good smart phone nowadays, the HTC Wildfire runs Android 2.1 but is due to get the upgrade to Android 2.2, along with the HTC Desire.  This is a mega advantage and something which many earlier HTC phones can’t look forward to.  That means full Flash support and the ability to store apps on your SD card, both of which are due to prove great boons for the Android operating system.

The handset is available from Mobile Fun along with a fantastic range of HTC Wildfire cases and other HTC Wildfire accessories.
