Get excited! The long await Angry Birds speakers we broke the news about a couple on months ago have finally arrived and they look amazing!
There’s three sets of speakers to choose from, the Red Bird which works with any device with a 3.5mm jack, the Black Bird which works with Apple devices and the Pig King which is also for Apple devices.
These speakers are the ultimate accessory for any Angry Birds fan, they’re bright, loud, vibrant and in the shape of your favourite angry birds character.

The Red Bird speaker comes with a mobile phone dock to hold your phone whilst you’re ‘blasting your tunes’ as they say. The speaker is highly portable and to use it all you have to do if plug the wire into your headphone jack. You could even take it to the extreme and play Angry Birds, whilst your plugged into your Angry Birds speaker!

The exploding Black Bird also has a dock with it’s speaker, but it’s only compatible with Apple devices. However, the dock charges your device whilst it’s playing music, so not only are you getting a speaker but you also have a mobile phone charger all rolled into one high flying bundle.
This speaker also comes complete with a remote, so you can control your music from the comfort of your bed.

The third and final Angry Birds speaker is the evil Pig King. This speaker works with iPhone and iPod, by docking the devices in the Pig King’s helmet. It charges your device whilst you’re playing music and like the Black Bird speaker comes complete with a remote, so not only can you control the Angry Birds characters through your phone but you can control the noises they make and the music they play – ultimate power!

Looking for a little gaming action on your smartphone, but annoyed with fiddly touch-screen controls that obscure the action? You could go out and buy yourself an Experia Play… or you could check out this universal gaming controller for quite a lot less!
The iControlPad is the world’s smallest and lightest fully functional Bluetooth gaming controller, and despite the Apple-oriented name includes special software to work on every smartphone OS: iOS (meaning iPhone, iPad and iPod), Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, and even WebOS. It’s quite cleverly designed and includes upgradeable firmware to ensure that new devices are always supported.

As you can see there are two modes of operation: you can keep it as a singular unit, or you can attach it your mobile phone using a selection of side clamps. These clamps will fit most phones, including all iPhones, allowing you to have an experience more akin to a handheld console.
You can also plug in the controller via a USB OTG adapter to have it serve as an emergency battery, offering an extra 1360mAh of power. That’s roughly the same amount as is in most phones to start with, so you’re effectively doubling your phone’s life will using it as an extended battery.

It’s a very slick little gadget, and if you’re looking to game on the move without packing a bulky handheld, this is the way to go. With so many games available these days, including iOS and Android originals as well as emulated classics, this is definitely a cool choice.
