The latest arrival to the Xperia family, is the hyperactive type who can’t sit still.

The Defy+ is an upgraded version of the Defy, the elementally resistant Android handset that proved to be a surprise success for Motorola last year.

The new handset comes with a host of new features and upgrades. Chief among these are the upgraded internals, including a 1GHz processor and a capacious 1700mAh battery that will last for 7.1 hours of talk time.

The Defy+ will also run Gingerbread, version 2.3 of the Android operating system; this is the most recent version of the OS. The phone will come with a unique application in keeping with its active audience. This app is called CardioTrainer, and promises to monitor your daily workout.

Apart from these upgrades, the phone is much the same. It features the same form factor and display size, as well as the same host of rugged features that made the phone popular. Nokia N9 16GB

The phone looks impressive, but its beauty is more than skin deep. It comes packed with an impressive 8MP camera, excellent social networking integration, and a great GPS navigation system. It’s rounded out with the sim free Nokia N9‘s beautiful new MeeGo operating system; you can have a look at how it works in the video below:

It’s a very cool little package, and I do very much hope that the unlocked Nokia N9 will be successful so that we’ll so a lot more phones with the excellent MeeGo OS.

Sim Free Blackberry Bold 9900

Even Apprentice boss Sugar commented on Twitter that he was impressed with the phone’s keyboard and touch screen after trying out an advance version:

“Been trying new BlackBerry Bold 9900 combination large keyboard and great touch screen. Must have new processors as very fast browsing. V. Good.”

Later, he marveled over the 9900′s camera, remarking:

“Great camera on this new BB Bold 9900 also processes them very fast when posted on twitter.”

Sugar’s not one for false praise, and the 9900 does look good. It sports a quick 1.2GHz processor, a high-quality touch screen and the latest BlackBerry OS7. The BlackBerry staples — excellent QWERTY keyboard and high security — are also present, definitely making this the best BlackBerry ever produced (and TechRadar agree).

First things first – to keep your phone safe, you’ll need a BlackBerry 9900 case. You probably don’t want to compromise the slimmest BlackBerry yet, so let’s go for something quite minimal, yet still protective. My personal favourite is the Otterbox Commuter, so let’s go with that.

Other great BlackBerry 9900 cases (I could do a whole article on these) include Case-Mate’s Barely There (an even thinner approach to the 9900) and BlackBerry’s own Leather Swivel Holster (a genuine leather case to be worn on the belt).

It’s also important to get a good BlackBerry 9900 screen protector; the popular MFX series offers excellent screen protection.
