New Galaxy S6 Edge case leaks

We’ve already seen leaked case photos for the Samsung Galaxy S6, but now we’re seeing them for its rarer brother: the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The new phone features a display that curves back on both left and right sides, and of course Galaxy S6 Edge cases have to account for that. Let’s take a look at the first S6 Edge cases, courtesy of case-maker Spigen.

The cases shown here are curved to match the phone’s display on the front, but remain fairly ordinary-looking on the rear. We can also see one of our first shots of the Galaxy S6 Edge’s lock screen, albeit one that seems to have been customised or created by Spigen themselves. There’s a minimal look on the centre pane, with the time shown on a watery background. A single icon for the camera sits at the bottom right. On the right edge, we can see individual icons for emails and text messages received, with calendar events sitting higher and oriented to display down the length of the screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is due to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress by Samsung on March 1st. The Barcelona-based event will have its doors open at 17:30 CET, with the presentation beginning one hour later at 18:30 CET. You can tune into the event via YouTube, on the SamsungMobile page.
