MWC is coming. The Mobile World Congress is the biggest mobile event of the year, and this year should play host to three big Android phone announcements: the Samsung Galaxy S5, the HTC One Plus and the Sony Xperia Z2. Today, we’ll be unveiling the first cases made for the yet-to-be-announced Xperia Z2. Let’s get started!
The Case-Mate Barely There is one of the most popular cases on the market, so there’s no surprise to see it again for the Sony Xperia Z2. The case wins its fans with a slim build, combined with just enough protection to inspire confidence. While other cases offer more scratch protection and particularly impact protection, the Barely There occupies a position on the spectrum. The case is stylish, affordable and comes in multiple colours – what’s not to like?
The Tough Case is the natural complement to the Barely There, a multi-layer creation that offers increased impact protection for the active or just naturally clumsy. The Tough Case doesn’t go too far in its ambitions, but offers a practical assortment of features without becoming a super-massive ensemble. That means dustproofing but not waterproofing, and a textured grip that remains comfortable to hold onto. The Naked variant of this case is also interesting, offering a translucent look that retains its protective potential.
The Slim Folio is our first leather-style case on this list, combining a slim build with good quality synthetic materials. A micro-fibre interior brushes your case clean each time you open the case, and the flip cover protects the vulnerable screen from harm without needing a dedicated screen protector for the Xperia Z2. The case is stylish and affordable – a good combination.
The Slim Flip is similar to the Slim Folio, but opens vertically instead of horizontally. Otherwise, you can expect the same stylish look, slim build and good quality synthetic materials.
The final case on the list is this Signature Flip. The case is made of high-quality hand-crafted leather, providing durable and long-lasting protection against scratches and minor knocks. The use of real leather allows the material to age and wear naturally, ensuring that the case remains looking good for longer.
Our final accessory is pretty straight-forward: a screen protector pack for the Xperia Z2. The pack includes two items, so you can have one as a backup or split the pack with a friend. A nice way of protecting the most vulnerable element of your phone without adding any bulk to speak of.
With that, our preview concludes. Look for all of these products to appear when the Xperia Z2 is announced at MWC!
