Best Xperia Arc Leather Cases

Monday, April 18th, 2011

I know that there’s more ways to protect your phone than you can shake a stick at, but right now I’m going mad for leather and an Xperia Arc Leather Case.

There’s so many about, so I’ve chosen my three favourites, including a sneaky one which can be used with other phones too!

The first Xperia Arc Leather Case which caught my eye was the Krusell Orbit Flex Premium Leather Case.

Krusell Xperia Arc Leather Case

Not only is it super protective, but it has all the cut outs so you can still use you Xperia Arc whilst it’s in the case.  Another great feature about this case is that it uses Krusell’s Multidapt system which opens up a world of possibilities when it comes to carrying your case – you can even clip it on your belt hook!

Number two on my list is the PDair Leather Flip case.  It’s beautifully soft and traditional in style, making it a gorgeous day to day case, which keeps your phone well protected.

PDair Xperia Arc Leather Case

Like the Krusell leather Xperia Arc case , this case can be clipped onto your belt, but the PDair’s swivel fixing allows you to wear the case at any angle; or the clip can be completely removed.  Your Xperia Arc will be nice and snug in the PDair case, due to their custom design for each phone model, so it won’t go slipping out!

Finally, my third and final choice; the sneaky one!  I’ve chosen another Krusell model, but this time it’s the Croco Hector Leather Case, whihc can be used with a range of mobile phones.

All you Fashionistas out there will rejoice at this case, as Kenzo and Yves Saint Laurent manufacturers had a helping hand in it’s design and style.  What I really like about this case is that it looks like a clutch bag, so wouldn’t look out of place on a night out.  The Nappa Leather used is soft and luxurious and the case even comes with a lifetime warranty!

As with all cases though, I’d suggest a Xperia Arc screen protector, just for added security and protection, as we don’t want to get scratches and smears on our shiny new phones!

Keep your Galaxy Ace fully charged this Easter

Monday, April 18th, 2011

We’ve been getting all in a flutter about the Samsung Galaxy Ace here at Mobile Fun HQ.  It’s sleek design, super powerful processor and amazingly bright screen have been giving me a major case of the green eyed monster.

What I’ve been liking even more though is this helping hand, for the Samsung Galaxy Ace Battery; the Pama Plug n Go Power Portable Charger.

Pama Plug n Go

Luckily for me, the Pama Plug n Go isn’t just for the Galaxy Ace battery, it can be used on practically all phones: from an iPhone 4 to a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play!

The Plug n Go has the power to give most phones two full charges before it needs recharging itself, meaning that if you’re planning a mini-break this Easter, you don’t need to take your bulky charger or your international socket with you; just simply pop the Plug n Go in your handbag and you’re all set!

Another accessory I’m really rating for the Galaxy Ace is this Flexishield Samsung Galaxy Ace case; not only because it’s strong, durable and can be used with the Plug n Go, but because it’s pink!

Galaxy Ace Flexishield

If unlike me, your not a big fan of this pink Galaxy Ace Cover there’s bound to be one that suits you.

To make sure you’ve got 100% protection for your Galaxy Ace, I’d pick up a Galaxy Ace screen protector too.

Now your Galaxy Ace is fully protected and charged, let Easter begin!

Will & Kate Royal Wedding Cases for iPhone 4

Friday, April 15th, 2011

Here’s something else we spotted at Gadget Show Live this week – a Will & Kate iPhone 4 cover from Casemate!

Royal Wedding iPhone 4 case

A right royal iPhone 4 cover

The Royal Wedding iPhone 4 cover is a version of Casemate’s hugely popular Barely-There Case for iPhone 4, and according to their website is “a keepsake item that will forever be part of history”.

So what do you think – sweet memento of an important national occasion, or time to pass the vom bucket?

Protect your Xperia Arc with the official hard-shell Xperia Arc cover

Friday, April 15th, 2011

I posted not too long ago on the official Xperia Arc case, the Sony Ericsson SMA 7113 Pull Cord Pouch, which has since proved hugely popular and obligingly sold out (don’t worry, we’ll have more stock back in soon!)

It’s soon to be joined by the official hard cover, the SMA 6110 Protective Hard Shell, which offers a lower-bulk option for those that want to protect their brand new Xperia Arc.

SMA 6110 Protectove Hard Shell for Xperia Arc

This is a protective Xperia Arc cover that will shield your phone from everyday scratches and scrapes, formed from tough plastic to keep the handset safe and help to absorb shocks.  On top of the hardy exterior, the Protective Hard Shell also has a suede-lined interior with a gloss finish, which not only looks elegant but will cushion your phone at the same time.  The case is specially designed with the Arc in mind, so it’s a perfect fit and features cut-outs for all ports and features, ensuring that it doesn’t interfere with usability.

We also have a Xperia Arc leather case from Noreve coming soon, which is made from hand-crafted high quality leather and features a removable belt clip – this is an elegant case so I’d say it’s a great choice for executives and other grown-ups!

For full protection, you can also pick up an Xperia Arc screen protector from the main site, along with a range of other accessories.

Gadget Show Live – The Bunjee

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

This was a useful little thing that we’re definitely thinking of getting into stock – the Bunjee.

Bunjees seen in the wild at Gadget Show Live 2011

According to the Bunjee website, there were over 1 million claims on mobile phone insurance over the past year, only 11% of which were due to theft.  Accidentally damage is a much larger reason for claim, at a whacking great 60%, and most of the circumstances of damage are avoidable.

Here are the top reasons for claims:

  1. It fell out of my pocket
  2. I dropped it on the floor
  3. I dropped it down the loo
  4. I left it in a bar/ restaurant/ taxi

They’re certainly pretty familiar to me; I’ve been guilty of numbers 1, 2 and 4 at various points of my life, although thankfully not to disastrous effect! At least… not yet (gulp).

Side-note: If you’re the type of person who suffers from number 3, you might want to grab a packet or two of the Dry-All Wet Mobile Phone Repair Kit.

The Bunjee is a handy accessory that fits around your phone and then clips onto your person with a boingy lead.  It can be clipped wherever – jacket, trouser pocket or bag – and if your phone falls out or is dropped at any point, the Bunjee will stop it from getting lost or hitting the ground at speed.  It’s basically like those mittens-on-strings that you get for children, but much cooler, and with a built-in shock absorber.

You can watch their video below:

It looks like a great idea for accident-prone kids and adults alike, and comes in a range of cool colours to appeal to different markets.

No word yet on whether a similar type of Bunjee providing iPad 2 protection is on its way; if that’s the sort of thing you want then you might be better off with the iBalls Shock Absorbing Harness, which is available now over on the iPad 2 accessories category of our main website.
