Unfortunately this was out of our hands! Our suppliers pulled the plug on it and we've been unable to source them from anywhere else.

I dont understand the logic of discontinuing the charger for the old iphone 3G. Surely as these devices get older more people will be interested in a solar charger as the battery life of the iphone starts to deteriorate.

Okay, I go the case, and so far it's pretty good. Yes it does fully charge the iPhone3G in less that 3 hours from a low battery. The solar part takes significantly longer to recharge the Li-battery, but it's the best most convenient backup power source yet. The leather's very nice, although stiff, and not real easy to extract the phone from the case. There's no port to take pix with the camera, a minor issue. Overall just having that backup surpasses much of the drawbacks. Oh, and yes, it works with the iPod Touch, though the case is made for the thicker iPhone. It takes some getting used to, but it's the best successful attempt I have found for iPhone Power... Power-to-the-iPhone
