to wide for most phones ..... however
bought one for hubbys phone nokia e61.was about to return as it was to wide for his phone but he had a think about how to clamp phone so did it by clamping phone vertical top and bottom hope this helps others

Excellent PDA or smartphone holder. Beautifully made quality item which holds the phone firmly but gently and supports in all directions. Only downside is that the moveable side lug blocked the plug for charging the phone - nothing that the Black & Decker drill couldn't fix in a couple of minutes. Now I can have my phone with Tom-Tom available in my line of sight and with easy access in safety and while charging from the lighter socket. Also delivered in under 24 hours - great service.
