Just what I needed
The adapter is just what I needed to connect my hi fi headphones or hi fi system to my Sony Phone. It couldn't be better!

Good, but don't throw them around.
I've had two of these and they are excellent, allowing you to use any set of headphones with a phone that should have been designed with a 3.5mm out, but wasn't. Only problem is I used them so much they got smashed around in my bag quite a lot and both have broken, am now buying my third in two years. Worth it though.

No use for radio
I bought this item having invested in a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones. I have an mp3 player already and so was only interested in being able to listen to the excellent radio on my C902. Unfortunately I didn't realise that the radio aerial is built in to the Sony headphone cable - so no radio if you use this adapter

Super!!!
This is an ideal product for me. I use a tape adapter as i have a standard radio system in my car and the normal headset wire is way too long. Now i dont have to worry about dangling wires as this adapter is much more shorter. it would have been nice though if there was a microphone built in too! (hint hint)

Does what it's supposed to!
It's just a small adapter that does exactly what it's supposed to - allows you to plug your headphones into your Sony Ericsson C903. You plug it in your phone, then your headphones into it and it works!!

not reliable
As i've had got a nice pair of headphones I thought this would be a great purchase as it's not as long as the conventional sony ericsson audio adaptor and it's relatively cheap. Unfortunately there is a reason why it's so cheap and i've had three of these now and it's definitely quantity over quality. Every time I bought another one I made an excuse like I must have broke it or damaged it but it’s the same fault everytime. It works great for a few weeks/months but then it just stops working and you can fiddle with the wire to try and get the sound back on. If you're happy for a short term cheap device this is really good while it lasts, if you want longevity then maybe you should try and find something a bit better. My standard sony ericsson one is still working perfectly fine and over a year with my phone its finally the one i'm sticking with for now!

I guess you get what you pay for...
Decided to get an adapter for my P1i and use my audio player's earphones which are very good, after I tested them with an original adapter (Walkman series). The difference is very noticeable. If you really care about the sound quality, spend some more £ in an original adapter.

Shorter cable = good
Reduces the amount of headphone cable, which is very good. No hands free, but thats not an issue for me. Its a little sticky dissconecting from the phone, but its getting better. Ace for those with headphones with meters of cable. Recomended.

Fell To Bits In Less Than 24hrs!
I have tried mine with 3 pairs of headphones and all of them suffer the same problem - sound only comes out the L ear. The only way to get sound in both ears is to pull the jack halfway out of the socket. Also after one days use the internals of the jack socket came out of the rubber housing! After 2 days use the wire seems to have come loose from
the main socket as it is not gripped firmly by the flexible bit. I hope for other people sake my case was a one off, but i doubt it. Sounds like a bad batch. 0/10 :-( VERY UNHAPPY!

Not Good.
When I got this it didn't work properly, sound only came out of the right hand side, and this occurred on more than one set of headphones.

Great cable
This adapter appears to be well made and is perfect if you wish to use other earphones with the W810i and don't want to get tangled up with a long flex.

is a good thing to have as the headphones that always come with phones are the ones that go in the ear - they never stay in mine, those kind of problems are no longer there!

rubbish
The 2 plastic plugs
stay in the phone
when removing the adapter
i didn't use scissors
but my teeth
to get them out
glued them in
but the sound was terrible
i didn't try it before glue
so perhaps the glue wrecked something

Well worth it!
Really good, and a good price considering the normal cost of Sony Eric headphones!

does what it says on the tin
Like some of the other reviewers I had a slight problem with mine in that the first time I used it, the little plastic prongs got stuck in my phone when I removed it.
Once I'd pulled them out though I put a bit of super-glue on them and put them back in and now they work a treat.
So, a bit of DIY was required, but otherwise great value

Worked fine but fragile
Great idea and worked well for a while. Poor build quality lets it down though. The phone end keeps popping out of the phone and the headphone end wore through the tiny thin wire in no time.

Flimsy
Sadly wouldn't recommend this.
Although the connector does what it says on the tin, every time I've tried to take the connector from my K750i the two plastic plugs stay in the phone and separate from the adapter. I have to extract them from my phone with scissors every time and stick them back into the adaptor.
Would have been 5 stars if they'd glued the thing in properly, 1 star instead because they didn't.
Don't say you weren't warned...

In car entertainment
This adaptor was purchased along with a cassette adaptor for the car. They work perfectly together with little or no loss to quality of the sound. saves me buying the more expensive sony version.

Fragile handle with care
I had to get a new pair as my first ones ripped within 2 hours, but they do the job OK. Sometimes the right head-phone doesn't work either but its better than nothing at all

Really useful but a bit flimsy
Dead handy for listening to music through my main stereo and using a cassette adapter in the car. Though it could be a little sturdier in its construction - the wire came loose rather quickly causing the phone to go into voice activation mode occasionally
