OK, so maybe some of us haven't completely caught up to the new wave of S7 phones enough to play VR with the 3rd Gen Samsung Gear VR.
So I thought I'd look into this (in a manner of speaking).
First the "needs improvement". The sheer clarity of the vision you get from Carl Zeiss standard lens means unfortunately you do get up close and personal with pixels in Cardboard mode watching YT 1080p or greater res videos.
But this is mitigated by the great picture and FOV you get for a completely portable headset. For the price you pay, it's a great little headset for the Galaxy S5 (and others if you can 3D print or order their trays.
Good buy great buy.

As you'd expect from Zeiss, the lens quality is excellent. The inclusion of a third strap across the top of your head is also a must have. I use the VR ONE with the S5 and it's an excellent VR Experience.

There are a few apps available including media players etc so you feel like you are in a cinema. There should be many more on the way in the coming weeks / months as the platform develops.
