Plus points: Clip works quite well. Phone is mounted securly and connection lines up correctly. Is a bit of a struggle to remove phone from holder though. Could do better: Holder does not automatically launch "Car" app so it is necessary to fiddle around each time the phone is fitted, to manually find the App and launch it The self tapping screws to mount the holder onto the clip are not really suitable. They are too short to bite properly (in order that they don't poke through the holder). Clip should be pre-drilled and different screws used.

Works a treat
This was quite simple to fit for me; I had a Brodit car kit for my HTC Desire before it, so all I had to do was exchange the Desire-specific holder for the holder for my new phone. After that, it was just a case of sliding the phone into the holder from right to left and making sure the power connector was properly engaged - this can be easy to miss in the dark, but if you've got the charger adapter plugged into your lighter socket the phone's charge light will come on as soon as the phone is fully inserted to the holder. It's secure and neat when the phone's in it; the only slight gripe being that it's a little ugly (according to my wife) when the phone's not in it. I'm very happy with it, though!

Disappointing product from Brodit. This is the second phone holder I have had from them that did not fit the phone correctly (last one was for a BlackBerry) This one, the slot for the phone is perfect, but the mini USB charging plug does not line up properly with the socket in the phone. It is a fiddle to get the phone into the holder properly, and I am wonering what damage I am doing to the socket in the phone. A premium price product that does not live up to the price tag. I will not be buying any more Brodit products, last 2 holders were very poor. cannot fault service though, hence 2 stars.

HTC one
Does the job
As usual with the brodit holders, does exactly what it says. And as usual, it takes a few goes to get the phone fully in place first time but once you get used to it it's fine. A good firm hold and it was easy to interchange with the old desire unit. Good buy.

As expected - Great
This was replacing an Brodit active holder for a HTC Desire, so I knew what I was in for. It even uses the same profile for the mounting holes, so I was able to swap it over in about 5 minutes. Remember, with these, you buy the holder for the handset, the bracket for the vehicle, then screw them together. It's well built with the USB charger fitting snugly. It took a while for either the unit to loosen up a bit, or me to work out the knack of getting it cradled up quickly, but now it fits every time. Brodit make by far the best vehicle mounts, so I can't recommend this enough. I went for this over the official HTC mount, since that features a suction cup mount, and the profiles of my windscreen would make it too far away (and not as professional). The only thing that the official unit does that this does not is automatically launch the Car application when the handset is cradled. On previous HTC handsets, this was just a connection between two USB pins, letting you know that it's a car cradle, but I haven't seen such information on this one yet. If you're looking around, buy this one. But then I would say that, I prefer Brodit!
