When the cover is closed the leather hinge at the bottom more or less covers the speaker at the back leaving only a small part of the speaker hole exposed. When the phone is in the pocket, the ring tone is muffled and difficult to hear. Not sure if the case is faulty per se, but it certainly is a design fault. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known, or if I had been able to see the speaker cut-out partially covered when the case is closed.Otherwise, the case is of reasonable quality

Obviously I've been trying NOT to drop my phone so it's hard to say how protective this case is from a fall.. but it feels well protected from scratches and other bits of crap in your pocket and looks really smart. Going for the real leather option was the right decision as the stitching is always stronger. I use the pockets to store my ID and credit card and nothing has been magnetically wiped as yet! It holds them tight enough so that if I do happen to let the cover-flap dangle whilst I speak on the phone, I have no worries about them falling out, and holds them high enough so the edges don't contact the screen. I'm very happy with this case.
