I saw a review slating this product as you couldn't put the phone on it's side and view it on a widescreen tv. I think that's a given and it's not expected to do that. If you are looking for something to turn your phone into a music player with decent sound use your spotify through the hdmi lead to your tv. it keeps your phone charged as well as giving great sound.

I don't understand how this will be of any use as an HDMI-out considering the phone can only be held in the vertical position. As such, you'll only ever use a third of your screen space except for when playing back video...

I have had the same experience as the last reviewer with this. Tried on loads of TV's with genuine power supplies attached and the sound and video keeps cutting out. Even tried on my girlfriends GS2 and the same thing happened. Not happy, but as always, Mobile Fun came up trumps with their excellent customer service. I got my money back and free postage to send it back. Can't knock their service. Why cant Samsung bring out an official dock with HDMI?! Since purchased the official MHL lead, works a treat.

Ergonomically it is great. Feels quality and docks the phone with a great click. It charges and if you have a HDMI cable it is a HDMI->MHL adapter. BUT despite what the title says it does NOT have sync capability. You cannot connect to the PC for anything other than power. Such a disappointment. You're better off with the other Sync stand and an MHL adapter.

Have had similar screen blanks to other reviewer but also will not sync with pc. I have tries different usb ports and other pc`s. is there something I need to do on the phone to get that dock screen? is alot less cluttered than the HDMI converter cable but needs some better instructions on how to get it to sync if you can actually sync with it !

Having tried to use it with both a Toshiba 32" Regza TV and an LG E2350 23" Full HD monitor (both of which work fine with a PS3) the picture & sound keep cutting out on a regular basis leaving a blank screen. I have not been able to ascertain any consistancy as it happens within the OS and Media player.
