Just what i needed for the car!
I have been waiting for a long time to be able to play my tunes over the car speakers, and its sounds great just pluged in my i-phone 4 and away you go! very happy with the product. Only one snag I have to take it out and put my normal headphones in when taking a call in the car I can live with that.

The best invention yet!
I recently bought the fm transmitter for my iphone 4 and let me say is by far the best gadget I can use in my car. Its small, comfortably fits aroind the iphone, its a good sound and above all a very convenient price. Top buy!!!

Impracticle - hence the low price.
Bought this as my car CD/radio does not have an external audio input and nor it can play MP3 CDs. Two concerns with this device: (1) it does not work with SE Xperia X 10 when plugged directly into the headphone socket (X10's internal speaker keeps working). It works if plugged into X10's hands free lead. (2): always require external power source to work. As power connection is not USB means it takes-up the only power socket in the front of the car hence no place to plug-in other devices such as navigation or charge the phone.

Great bit of Kit
Excellent item, works well and solved the problem I had wanting to play my ipod in my "older car" without the expense of conversion kits.

A bit disappointed
A lovely little device - easy to use but sound quality is poor with signiificant interference, not encountered with some larger devices.

A bit flimsy
This is a very neat little gadget, and tuned in straight away, however when I needed to retune it the display became tempramental and would only show a very limited range. It may have to go back.

Like it says on the box
Very simple to set up. Did so quickly on two different radios. Excellent reception with only very faint background hiss which can't be heard when the car is on the move. Very good value.

Not very good
I was really disappointed with the Exspect In-Car FM Transmitter. Although, technically, it did what it said it would, i.e. broadcast your phones output via FM so that you can tune in on the car radio etc, in reality, it's a nightmare finding a gap in the FM frequency spectrum that is clear enough for the very low power transmission to be received. When you do find that gap, there is so much background hiss and noise that it's unlistenable. I returned mine. Do not buy.

Not a success
Doesn't work with a SE xperia X10 but occasionally works with a SE xperia arc! If you can get it work with a phone then it doesn't work in my Saab but occasionally works in my Vauxhall! I have yet to try it with my MP3 player but I don't hold out much hope, pretty useless really. I gave it two stars and I'm being very generous! N

Been searching for this item for some time
I bought my iPod and FM transmitter when abroad in SE Asia. Subsequently some light-fingered individual lifted the in-car charger for my transmitter, which happens to be of similar design to the Exspect unit. The difference is that my original FM unit connects via the standard iPod connector, so the charger powers the iPod. Now I have a charger again and a spare FM transmitter, always usefull. And all because of deals brought to me by MobileFun. Thanks, Guys, and "as-fast-as lightening" delivery too!!

Good
Once I'd found a "free" VHF/FM frequency, the unit worked perfectly.
Shame there's not a memory store to switch frequency in the event of a powerful adjacent transmitter.
At the price, can't be beaten.
Not, in my opinion, for the "plug-in and play" afficionadio. Needs a little experimentation.

It works
Plugged it on, tuned it in and it worked. What more could you want? Well, if it also charged my iPhone it would be icing on the cake and 5 stars instead of 4.

Disappointed
Would never pay the rrp of £45 for this. In fact am request a refund for the discounted price of £10 I paid. The problem is when you turn the volume up on your car radio, there is a load of static / noise in the background which makes distorts the music your listening too. I bought this as a possible replacement for a belkin fm transmitter I have, but the Belkin does the job 100% better.
