Absolutely ideal for those moments when you're about to leave the house or office and realise your phone's almost flat - slide it into the battery/case and carry on, in an hour or two it's fully charged. Only downside is the lock button is fiddly to use through the case cutout - two minutes with a hacksaw cured that :)

Whilst we all may regard the headlong development of smart-phones as essential to business and pleasure, their habit of running 'out of juice' just when we need to the use of them is a constant worry...this device-as far as the Nokia N8 is concerned anyway-is a life-saver, in that it will keep the unit running for at least another twenty-four hours until you can get the phone re-charged. Its only downside is that it is on the bulky side design-wise, compared with the sleekly-designed phone itself, but it does help to protect its essential functions, including the camera lens and flash. I am assuming that Nokia will act on this problem and design a phone with longer battery life eventually, so that the consumer will not be reliant on constantly seeking out add-on packages such as this one...!

Always worried about having an uncharged phone and no means of recharging it, I splurged on this external battery pack when I discovered my new N8 has a sealed battery. Wow! Not only does this little device piggy back as an extra battery it also recharges the phone quite quickly without affecting its mobility or function. It does get warm when it's in use but this is the only minor concern that I have about it. Great value for someone who wants to be reassured the N8 will remain available for use when out-and-about for several days.

Awesome product!! I love it, its exactly what I wanted. Ive tried many portable/emergency chargers for my N8 from standalone USB portables to battery operated ones and NONE of them actually "charged". They just acted as a power supply to power the unit when the battery got low, however This one DOES charge! It takes about the same time as a normal plug in wall charger to complete a full charge (2 hours ish) and the beauty of it is that while you are charging its actually acting like a case aswell (all functions on phone are accessible), so no dangely wires hangin off my phone. Its solid and secure and most importantly getting a proper charge. The unit itself is easy to charge as it has the regular power in line as does the phone and a micro usb to whack it in the computer. And a handy On/Off switch. And changing coloured lights to show when charging/full etc... Top product, Good build quality. I dont usually write reviews but this beauty deserved the time... **very happy**

The nokia n8 in my opinion is a top top phonbe with so many good features that I regularly drain the battery. Especially when I travel aboroad and use the sat nav, email and camera substantially. This case/battery more than doubles the life of the battery and I suspect as I learn more about how to use the innovative design to full effect it will get even better. The battery acts like a hard case to protect the phone but allows access to all the controls. I also like the look of the battery although this might not be to everyone's taste. Great value too.

Really useful device that helps overcome the drawback of thin phones...small batteries. This will rescue you when filming in hd, using gps, taking photos, and listening to music. The perfect holiday accessory.
