Great Case for Desire S
I spent a lot of time looking for a case for my desire s and I made the right choice. Fits snuggly and offers great protection (already saved me a few times!). The desire s without a case can only be described as acting as a wet bar of soap, now in its otter box its a lot more comfotable in my hands with the exposed sillicone ends, also its great all edge buttons and sockets are covered and usable. Imho the best case currently available. If I was being critical, and I suppose I am by giving it four stars, the top sillicon can be a bit loose due to the Cutout for the speaker and there is a cutout missing on the back for the small hole under the flash what ever that does. Overall great case, I wouldn't swap it for another.

Does the job perfectly
Silicone skins can be sticky and tear. This is robust with a tough rigid outer shell so it is solid and I can get it out of my pocket easily.

First class mobile phone cover, looks tough and ha
Maybe not the cheapest but the cover seems tough, is comfortable to hold and the access points for charger, headphones etc are easy to open. So far looks good - but time will tell.

Tough little thing
This product was recommended by someone who is an Orange business account manager. Its great. There are different levels and this is the lower model but don't be put off. The soft skin protects it alone but the hard case around that makes it very tough to break. Excellent and doesn't affect the "sense" features of the device like some do

Good Protection
Covers on the ports save me having to clean dirt out of them every time I plug something in(i'm a gardener, bits get everywhere when hedge cutting). I've dropped it a couple of times(once onto concrete from 5 feet) with no damage so far. It does make the phone more bulky, which is a shame, but I don't see how you could get this much protection otherwise. Does what it should very well.

Good protection
As protection goes, this case is very good and not far off the protection offered by the Case-Mate Tough. (I bought both to see which I'd prefer, planning to sell the other one.) The Otterbox Commuter has the advantage of having plugs to seal up the headphone and USB ports. Despite the protruding buttons, it also makes the power button and volume rocker a lot harder to activate accidentally putting it in your pocket. It fits well and I’m sure it would do a good job of protecting your phone from almost any drop. It is a bit slippery in the hand though, and not as much grip on it as with the Case-Mate Tough so you are more likely to drop it! Can’t speak for the included screen protector as I’m not wanting to remove the Case-Mate one. However, I think Otterbox may have made a small oversight with the case design. The HTC Desire S has TWO front-facing microphones on the back of the phone. These are to provide noise cancellation when filming video. Otterbox seems to have over-looked the one near the LED flash and covered it over (as you can see from the picture), where the Case-mate Tough case has allowed a cut-out for it. I think I’ll be selling this one. It’s not bad, and will do a very good job of protecting your phone from drops and knocks, I just think the Case-Mate offering is slightly better. Especially if you use your video recorder a lot.
