Perfect in car holder
Just what I was looking for for my Sensation XE! To start off with you'll be concerned with the fit as it does look like it could be a bit flimsy with the connection, but once you actually put it together you can tell that this has been robustly built. It is slightly wider than the phone on the left hand side, which can make it difficult to fit the phone in darkness as it puts your alignment off a bit! Once you dock it, it automatically takes you into car mode. If you haven't purchased the Route66 mapping application, it will keep bugging you to purchase it (a small irritation if you never plan to purchase it).

Keeps falling off
I'd advise you to not buy on as it has fallen off multiple times(With my phone in it). I will be investing in another one.

Fiddly, but sticks
This is quite expensive compared to other in-car holders, but I could see from the design that it had real suction. With previous experience from my satnav, which had a twist to suck design, I knew that this is pretty much essential, and that cheaper basic suction designs have a habit of falling off, especially when driving over bumps. My one complaint is that the design seems a bit convoluted, and it was difficult and fiddly to get into the position/angle I want. At the moment it is on my windscreen, but I really want to use the supplied sticky pad to attach it to the side of the dashboard, where it won't block my view at all. I haven't yet figured out how to twist and bend it to the angle I want. Still, I'd recommend it because it sucks ;)

Genuine HTC Car Upgrade Kit
Getting the kit out of the box and into your hands, it is clear that you get what you pay for with this item. From the chrome rail to the USB port in the suction cup and the car charger. It definately pays to get the original product. You can either attach it straight to the windscreen or there is an adhesive plate which you can stick to your dashboard and then connect the kit to. I'm using it with Google's navigation rather than the incumbent HTC navigation software which needs to be paid for. All in all a great buy, expensive but seems worth the extra money.

Excellent product but….
I have had various phone cradles before, most just fell apart or fell off the windscreen, but they were all cheaper than this. Was it worth paying a premium price? In a word “YES” the build quality of this excellent, it is strong and secures to my wind screen with out constantly falling off every time you touch the screen it keeps my phone charged and connected when I am driving. The only thing I found out that when you “dock” your phone, it starts up the “HTC Locations” this is HTC default “sat nav” program, and asks you to pay for a licence to use it. The UK and Ireland map the price is from £4.00 for 30 days to £15.00 for 1 year to £23.00 for life. If you just hit the cancel button you can load any “sat nav” app you want. I purchased the 1 year as it is not that expensive, and I am very impressed with it, much better and faster than “Google” or “Co-pilot.” Great service from mobile fun arrived on time and well packed. Just ordered a new case from them, Thank you

Great stuff
Maybe a little expensive but this is the only car you need for the HTC sensation and yes,it activates the car panel.I said it activates the car panel but in my experience, and I didn't do much homework or button pressing on this, but you have to buy the navigation/Location app for the car panel to work.Like I said though I didn't do a lot of messing about with it so maybe there is a workaround so you can just have the genuine HTC car panel.Fixing to the windscreen is easy but setting it up so you can see and use the phone while docked can be a bit Krypton Factor'ish because it can only rotate so far then another joint comes into play but you only have to do this once and your set.Chargeing the phone is flawless with the supplied 1amp HTC charger.Fitting the phone in the dock is a two handed affair.Well it is for me as I had the one for the desire and I wrecked the plastic around the micro USB port so two hands from now on.All in all, well built, sturdy and looks the buisness.

so far so good!
Took a bit of time to work out best position on windscreen to take account of angles etc but got there eventually. Slight reservations about durability of connection jack if i'm taking it on and off several times a day but only time will tell with that. Otherwise it's great.

Useful Item
The holder is quite good but the mini USB plug is a bit fiddly to put together but the unit works well once fitted allowing the phone to be horizontal or vertical. The only problem for me is that you cannot use it if you have a case on the phone which is understandable but a shame
