Great product
I am very pleased with this product. It attaches to the window well,in a simple effective way. The way the Galaxy Sll automatically activates the car profile when connected is cool. The only thing it is missing is an aux cable. I does not state that the pack has one, but it would be good if it did.

I'm really happy with this item, it fixes to the windscreen well and isn't to hard to remove if needs be.I really like the swivelling head so the phone can be used landscape our portrait depending on what ur doing. Very easy to clip in as well. I also like the fact the power lead is attached to the unit so u don't have to keep looking for it on the floor. Bad points - quite awkward to unclip phone & the line out doesn't work so you have to plug audio lead into phone itself. Not a massive problem tho as phone jack is still accessible.

Nice bit of kit
The official dock is really good. Unlike some other docks that are just a cradle and a charger the phone knows it's docked and auto-rotates the screen in some apps. The mount is secure and it's very quick and easy to get the phone in or out.
Also, I've tied it in to Llama on the appstore (aka play) to do various things when docked, like enable BT, screen rotation, auto-brightness and fire up the sat nav (I use waze). I can now just dock the phon and I'm good to go!

Perfect!
I'm an accessories snob. Where I can, I will only buy branded accessories for my phone. I figure the best, most compatible product will be made by the same hands that made my phone. Right?
I wasn't disappointed with this car mount.
It sticks to my windscreen nicely, and a few yanks have proven that it won't drop off when driving. And by 'a few yanks', I mean I pulled it a few times. No American people were involved in the test.
The mount is easily re-positionable too, so I can stick it the other way up, on the dash if I wanted to.
The S2 easily slots in, and pushing the bottom part with the built-in microUSB plug into the phone does things that make me smile. It opened the Voice Talk menu, so my phone automatically starts listening to me (a bit like a barmaid does when you order a pint with that depressed face). The mount allows me to rotate the phone easily between portrait and landscape, perfect for using different features.
When driving, the mount is really sturdy, and allows me to make the most of Google Maps Navigation to get where I'm going as efficiently as a zig-zag queue in a Post Office. There is little vibration, and I don't think even Lewis Hamilton could corner fast enough to knock the S2 out of the holder.
Getting the phone back out of the mount is easier than breaking out of an open prison. There's a lovely thumb-clip on the rear that, with a simple press, releases the phone to your pocket once again.
The only negative I can find for this review is some of the awful jokes I've made. If you need to use your S2 for Sat Nav or with a headset to make calls whilst driving, and you have a few pounds extra to spend, get this dock.

Sturdy
Original Samsung bit of kit, so fits perfectly.
Like the way the phone switches to car mode when it's plugged in to the dock.
Dislike that the charging lead doesn't have a power LED: I thought it was plugged into the car's 12V socket, but when the phone started beeping for low battery, realised it wasn't pushed in all the way. My previous car charger (which unfortunately doesn't fit the Galaxy SII) had a LED so you could see at a glance that it was all plugged in properly.
The charger also seems quite slow to recharge the phone's battery.

Length of the charging cord
I have read the reviews and somebody did mention that the kit's charging cord is of good length. However, I'd appreciate if somebody could tell me the approximate measure of the length of the charging cord. (My car's charging port is a little behind the gear and I am worried whether the length will be good enough)

Great Vehicle Dock.
I had a great surprise when the Genuine Samsung Extended Battery Kit for Galaxy S2 (2000mAh - EB-K1A2EBEGSTD) fitted perfectly into this Vehicle Dock, no need to replace to the stock battery, it gives good adjustment and the long arm lets you use the phone in an easier way than other vehicle docks.

Great kit
Love this carkit. However the lack of sound through the speakers during calls annoys me. Has anyone out there been able to solve this. Seems like there should be a setting somewhere to fix this but I have yet to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was delighted to discover this isn't just a simple phone carrier. The phone and the holder recognise one another and switch on driving mode when connected. Voice activation kicks in and I can select dedtinations, make calls and even send texts and save reminders totally hands free.
The satnav function works a treat on the Galaxy S2. It links with Google maps allowing you to set your destination before you get in the car. Starred places are supported and the phone even presents you with a picture of your destinagion on arrival, so you can see which premises you should walk to
Excellent product; far exceeded expectations. So good, it's almost scary !!!

Does the job perfectly
Order this dock which arrived quickly and is excellent. Charges really when even when running apps. My only moan is that you cannot have the phone in a holder or protective cover when in the car charger, otherwise a fantastic buy.

Another excellent Samsung Product
If my Samsung Galaxy S II Smartphone could talk (ah wait it can via IRIS) it would have insisted that I don't waste my money on some non branded car dock.
In fact it has been singing ever since I got this awesome Samsung car dock / charger. It can swivel vertical, horizontally and sideways on a ball and socket. It's the perfect partner in the car.

Quality product from Samsung
I wanted a quality product and the official Samsung car dock certainly is! The windscreen fixing is amazing and so easy, and my Galaxy fits perfectly and securely. However it is so secure that removal of the phone can sometimes be difficult. The line-out is useful to connect to my car stereo - no lead supplied for this but it's a common lead and easy to get hold of one.

Best value for money
Over the years I have had many top named brands of incar holders, but this ticks all the boxes in the practicality and style categories .
First, very stylish, smooth finnish but very robust in design, can't fault it, zero vibration, which is brilliant for road camera apps. Small enough NOT to create any blind spots on your windscreen, but in the same time brings the phone close enough to the user. Clever!!!!!!
The option to cradle your phone and charge/or not, is great, other top brands don't have that option. Clever!!!!!!
And the best feature is that I can play my favourite music straight to my head unit, both the aux and power cables face to the rear of the cradle, so no unsightly wires to distrup my view.
Well worth the money, five stars.......

dodgy socket
An allround good phone holder but the retracting socket causes problems sometimes when plugging the phone in voice command goes into repeat mode and i end up having to turn the phone off to get it to stop.

SGS2 Vehicle Dock
An absolute sturdy neck with a rather stiff cradle but that guarantees you a firm grip even when driving on rocky roads. It allows your smartphone to stay lighted throughout when the usb is plugged to the AC 12v outlet. I like it so much I bought a second dock for my personal corner at home and it serves easily as a back up on a rental car during travels. I have it comfortably located (see foto link added>>: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/Cmy5chi/GPSnGSM/36561117.jpg) inside the cockpit so its within reach and in no way attached to the front screen nor hinder safe viewing/driving. The snap-on lever is very effective and holds it firmly. It has not fallen off since late June when I first got it. My honest liking on this dock and definite recommendation results from it staying visibly "ON" as opposed to the Desktop or any other compatible docks that does not allow it longer than the default setting giving a max of only 10 mins.

Almost perfect
The dock is solid and easy to use. The only minor issue is that it's virtually impossible to negotiate it into a position whereby you can take video through the windscreen without part of the dock being visible at the periphery of the frame. As mentioned in the booklet, it's necessary to pop the dock off the windscreen every five days or so as it does fall off shortly afterwards. Other than that, it's great. I'm just about to order another.

Perfect in every way!
Having scoured the internet and the major electrical stores, I couldn't find a suitable third-party car cradle for my brand new Samsung Galaxy SII. A quick search for an official model yielded this little beauty.
I wanted a cradle which would keep my phone steady, would pivot and swivel to allow for landscape Sat Nav use, and which came with a charger. The i9100 does the lot, with the added bonus of an extra AUX out port. The phone fits snugly, as one would expect. The sucker pad is mega-strong, and will not fall off the windscreen as so many cheap ones tend to. The swivel/pivot mechanism can be loosened and tightened easily, and the built-in charging dock is far more secure and less likely to damage the phone than those which simply plug straight in. All in all, this product has proved an excellent buy, and I would definitely recommend it to any SII users out there.

Good solid product
I purchase this based on it being a samsung product. It fits the phone perfectly, the screen mount is solid and fels well built and when you plug the phone in it automatically goes into driving mode. I have had many phones and screen mounts and this is by far the best. well worth the money for the quality

Good and Bad
Overall the dock is good - it holds well to the window and is easy to align to angle the dock to your liking. The phone also automatically goes into driving mode when you connect the charger.
However there are two significant design flaws. The first being that the phone will only fit if no case/protector is used at all - I assumed it would fit the genuine samsung case, but no, so its a pain getting the phone in/out of its case to use the dock.
The second and a MAJOR flaw is that unless you disable bluetooth and wi-fi while using navigation, the dock does not supply enough power to charge the phone, in fact the battery will slowly drain - the power supply should have been up-rated. This is a big oversight in a "genuine" dock.

This is a quality bit of gear that you simply "must have" if you've got this phone. It keeps your phone charged while it's working as a very competent sat nav device. Don't buy generic adaptors - this genuine samsung cradle/charger works with the phone perfectly. Well made, excellent value, and very quick despatch from mobile fun.

Horrendous Interference
I think the actual device is a quality item, it holds the phone really well, there is no shake etc.
But it is flawed in a major way in my opinion, and that of several others on a well known phone forum...
There is audio interference on the AUX socket on the cradle, and from the headphone socket on the phone when you have the cradle powered and charging.
The phones headphone socket is less obvious as it is significantly quieter (due to EU regulations) than the AUX socket on the cradle.
Either way it has a very annoying and constant whine which changes pitch relating to engine speed.
The unit I have is not an isolated issue, as there are other people who have the same issue. I believe it is an inherent fault with the actual device.
That said, I can't imagine a cheaper model would be any better in terms of this noise!
But I could not stand listening to Sat Nav instructions with all the "whine" in the background, especially in the gaps between instructions!

Not so good
For the price, and as a genuine manufacturer item, this disappoints. It is well made, and fits, but:
Push fit is for me very difficult to release the phone from one handed.
Windscreen suction mount is too feeble, result about 20% of the time it all comes off in my hand rather than the phone coming free.
The integrated audio out is extremely noisy, even when not charging it sounds like a very nasty dc-dc convertor.

Near perfect....
The phone holder is the the best for the phine, its a bit tricky to get out of the holder bit afer a few times you will get the knack of it. The original charger that comes with the holder is near useless if you want to run a satnav program as it does not have enough power to charge and run the phone at full power consumption, my first try with this was on a 80 mile journey where I had 100% battery and at the end I only had 70% charge I now have reverted to my 2amp usb charger which I bought for my hd2 which did the same on a 1amp charger, now it works perfectly. When you clip the phone into the holder you would expect it to unlock the screen and go into the car kit mode but it doesn't you have to manually unlock the phone where then the car kit mode is waiting, a minor annoyancei suppose with an excellent bit of kit from Samsung.

The best car mount I've used
This is a really nice mount. The suction clip is very strong. The movable base that pushes the charging plug into the phone is perfectly aligned and works well. High build quality, reasonable price. Very happy.

Top Quality product
Dont buy cheap imitations this one is excellent and worth every penny safe and secure and links with my blue tooth car kit (Parrot) it mutes the radio and the sat nav (google beta version) cuts in with the instuctions and it goes through the speakers. Bought a similar one for my old HTC HD2 and it looks as good as new 18 months later!

Does what is promises very well
At first I thought this dock was a lil pricey, but bought it anyway. Not disappointed at all. As is expected from samsung, the build quality is second to none. The dock is solid and easy to use, and keeps the phone stable with only the smallest of vibration (which depends on your car / road anyway). Only gripe I have (which is with the phone itself actually, so it won't affect this rating) is that you you cannot change the shortcuts / layout of the 'car mode' that comes up on the phone when it's in the dock, and if you press back to goto normal home screen, you can't go back to the car mode. Audio out doesn't work
Firstly the good, it's well made, attaches to the windscreen easily and strongly and you can click your phone in and out very easily.
The bad however is that the audio out on the holder simply doesn't work. You have to plug a lead directly into the phone. This is why I've given it 2 stars - it doesn't work as advertised.

Good mount but...
A really good mount, solid and well made, the problem is the voice commands when in the mount. The commands activate continuously, it makes no difference what settings are changed, the least bit of car noise sets it off.

Perfect fit
Its very good, holds the phone very securely, but with the slide out lock means doesn't damage phone when placing in. Due to long arm actual phone sits low down so doesn't block too much view.
Very handy charging securely and exactly what I wanted.

Great product - great service
Having thought about going for something a bit cheaper but not specifically designed for my Galaxy S2, I opted for this Samsung dock. Glad I did, since it is ideal and works easily and well. I especially like the docking device that ensures accurate mating of the micro-USB so no damage to the phone. It also puts the phone into Driving Mode automatically. The goods arrived the day after I placed the order - great service. Thanks.

Rock solid windscreen holder for the S2!
Won't drop off the screen like cheaper mounts. Powers the s2 whilst in the cradle. High quality finish and construction. Cradle rotates portrait or landscape. Pricey for a screen mount but worth it.

Overall Very Good
Really easy to install, holds the phone firmly and works well. No need to keep connecting audio cable as an output is included on the dock, which is a great feature. 3 downsides: it's a struggle to get the phone back out, a few times i've launched it, but i'm getting better after a week; phone calls always go to the phone speaker when the stereo would be better; and the voice command application on the phone is very irritating. Recommended despite these issues.

Bought this so I can use the phone as a sat nav, and it works perfect and yes it loads the voice control software up but that just hears all the road noise and is rubbish. But this holder is perfect!.

the best car dock
Well what can I say the quality of the product is first class. At first I thought it looked rather cumbersome but once installed in the bottom corner of the windscreen you dont see the window bracket at all. It fits the phone like glove and automatically activates driving mode and voice commands. Well worth the money.

Coming from an n97 which had a car dock I was hopeful that the samsung kit would be as equally robust. I am more than happy with the quality of the item, it breaks down into several component parts if you need to pack it. The charging lead is a a good length. Using the vehicle dock allows you to us the voice commands as it automatically puts the phone into driving mode. There is also a hole in the cradle for the camera so when in lanscape mode you can video or take still's. Maybe not the highest of requirements but never the less nice to have. All in all a great product. Highly reccommended.

Top quality
Delivered quickly and does the job. As it's official samsung my galaxy s2 snaps into place very easily. The charger fits into the cigarette socket very snugly and in the two weeks i've been using it it hasn't come loose at all. It has a simple lever to help it stick to the window and that is stuck tight with no chance of falling off, I think the thicker plastic used for the 'sucker' is what makes the different. Great product. Worth it.

Great Dock but has some glitches
This dock has been very well built, the phone fits perfectly and still allows you to use the camera or video camera whilst docked if you do so desire. When docked the phone automatically goes into driving mode so that you can use the voice command function. This has a couple of glitches:
firstly the voice recognition sometimes thinks you are speaking when it is just engine noise or vibrations (happens over 40mph)
secondly if you want to use the phone when dock it appears that something causes random apps to open in the background and I couldnt close them by using the backwards button, I had to go into task manager and kill the apps. It doesnt do it everytime but can be annoying when it does
when using either co-pilot or google navigation the screen and directoins are always clear. Really like the quality of it but hoping some of the glitches will be clear when samsung do a patch.

Issues with voice activation.
Firstly I found the mount itself to be excellent, a little stiff to clip in & out but I think it is just getting used to it.
The biggest problem I found was with the software, when activated the voice activation is continuously activated by either the car stereo and even road noise even given my car is quite quiet. If anyone knows how to get around this then please let me know as I simply cannot use the software due to this.

Brilliant dock, dont go for anything else!
Excellent dock! The quality is superb, very sturdy, holds the phone well and the Vlingo software on the S2 automatically starts when the phone is in the cradle.

very good.
Holds the phone very well. however phone calls do not go through the car speekers like the music. this means the phones loud speeker is used and this is a bit too quiet for use in a car. the holder does allow music through the car speekers tho which is very good.

I was pleased with the item and have not yet used it as the phone has just arrived from the company last Friday. One thing I have noticed that one cannot use the docking arm if your phone has the cover but I think it will be ok without the cover.

Perfect dock for the Galaxy S2
The official samsung dock and charger is perfect for using the galaxy s2 in the car- especially when using sat nav. Looks smart, holds the phone securely and suction is strong. Once in place, the phone can be easily rotated and repositioned to the correct position/angle.

Brilliant Product
First off, well done to Mobile Fun for somehow managing to ship the dock on the same day when it was showing no stock until the following week!
The dock itself is a quality piece of kit. The suction mount is very sturdy and the mount itself hugs the phone beautifully!
When the phone is docked, the S2 goes in to car mode (provided you install the Samsung Car Mode app!)
GPS lock is quick and easy, and the supplied car charger does a good job of keeping the phone juiced.
My advice is don't go for a cheaper dock; spend the money and go for the genuine accessory... you won't be disappointed!!!!

You can tell you spent your money well as soon as you see the box. Very sturdy, solid and weighty plastics. Very secure fitting with minimal effort. This dock unlike other compatible mounts, enables the phones car dock mode. This keeps the screen alive ready for voice commands use, showing easy to access shortcuts to quick tasks.
Worth the money, and worth buying from Mobilefun for sheer reliability.

Bad design
I wanted an official car dock for my GS2 & wanted to dash mount it rather than windscreen mount, most mounts are adaptable to either, but this one when mounted on the dash has poor maneuverability....it blocks your view in a big way IMO.

When you have this fitted the phone will not fit the dock!!!! so every time you enter your car you have to take off the protective cover before you can attach it to the car dock!!!!!!!!!
I'll let you decide but I think It's been poorly thought out!!

Fantastic Product
This is a Genuine Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 Vehicle Dock. After I ordered it arrived next day.
Good quality and very impressed.
It also comes with a long charger cable wich is perfect for my car.
This is a must for anyone who has a Galaxy S 2. I can even park up and watch my favourite movies whilst on my lunch break...... Fantastic well worth the money....
