REVIEW
OK, this little gadget is quite handy actually. At first glance It definitely has the sell appeal as it looks interesting and the thought of having an Iphone charger on you ‘just in case’, makes you warm and cosey inside >.< So lets start taking it apart. After using it for a few days it has somewhat lost its appeal because it has started looking more and more like a car key. It was obviously designed that way, but why would I want a cool device that looks like a car key on my keyring, you would not even notice it unless it was pointed out. What I mean to say is if this little fella was made of say chrome, or had a rubber pattern in different colours or had a mini led torch etc! But hey, it is what it is, not a bad product at all. So, to use this charger you MUST first off all pull out the larger end of the two ends first (as the sticker states) otherwise keep tugging on thr wrongend and you will probably end up with a worthless piece of plastic (which looks like? You guessed it ‘a key’). Once you have the large end out you will then have to either feed some of the cable into the main body or pull the other connecter to release enough cable to free the USB connecter end from its home. I would suggest feeding instead of pulling to prolong life expectancy. Once you have mastered the opening of the device you can move on to plugging it in. The Iphone/Ipod touch end is as straight forward as it comes, you just plug it in (the correct way round of course). Again, the USB end is not anything to worry about either, but you may discover the same thing I did which is that the connecter is VERY snug. So snug in fact that I thought I was inserting it the wrong way round (as if I would). The fit is tight yes but it works so job done. But wait? I have this niggling thought in myhead which is saying, damn have I opened the USB port too much now so that all the other USB devices will flap about or have intermittent connection problems? Well I tested many other devices in the port after and they all worked fine so don’t worry. Putting the device back together again is the opposite of opening it if you hadn’t already worked that one out. SCORE = 6/10 (cool gadget, but could have been designed better and made from smarter materials)
