I've already been using an HTC Desire HD for almost a year so know exactly how good HTC, Android, HTC Sense and so on are. Having used Apple products in the past I just love the extra control you are given in every aspect of the phone when using Android. The old argument about "more apps for Apple" doesn't really apply any more and I cannot think of an app I would want on Android that's only available on Apple. As for the Incredible S. I wanted to get a phone as close as possible to the Desire HD but for my wife so wanted something a little smaller that could easily fit into a handbag or coat pocket and the Incredible S delivers that. The difference in screen size between 4.3" (Desire HD) and 4.0" (Incredible S) is barely noticeable and, of course, one of the killer features of the Incredible S is the second, forward facing camera which is invaluable for use with making video calls on Skype though it's also nice that if you want better resolution during the call to show something to the other party you can easily switch to the higher resolution backwards facing camera. One other nice touch of the Incredible S (compared to Desire HD) is the four "off screen" buttons for Home, Menu, Back and Search. When you are running an app that can switch from portrait to landscape they magically rotate to the right orientation. It's just a little thing but it shows the kind of thought that HTC has put into the design of this phone. When I first saw the pictures of the Incredible S with the "two level" back to the case I thought it was a bit "odd" but in reality it looks good and it helps to give the impression of how thin the phone is (which for both Desire HD and Incredible S is a nice score over IPhone which feels a bit "chunky" in comparison). The phone is noticeably lighter than Desire HD too (which is great again for a more "feminine" phone). Battery life on both phones is good - just doing mundane day-to-day things and running a few apps (including Angry Birds of course!) lets the phone run for about 2 or 3 days until the battery turns red. Bottom line: Android is great, HTC phones are great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either Desire HD or Incredible S

Excellent product. Fast internet, good apps. Slim design, good size and vibrant display. Android platform works really smoothly. To allow you to have the best experience you do need to join gmail so that you can sync it with Google- which is fine, but I guess not good if you didn't want to do that. Otherwise an excellent product.

So i've had an iPhone since they were first released, I even flew to New York to get the original model months before it was available in the UK and I've always sworn by them but recently became a little bored with it. This is my 1st HTC and 1st Android phone and quite simply I love it. It's easy to use although the keyboard isn't quite as easy to use as apple's but it does a good enough job. It's bigger than an iPhone 4 but it doesn't feel like it and the rear design is actually quite cool. The only down side is that it still runs android 2.2 but the gingerbread update can't be that far off.

Wanted a smartphone to replace my ancient Nokia 6230i. It was a choice between an iPhone 4 or one of the HTC Android offerings. Went for this one because it can everything the Desire HD can do, in a slightly smaller format, and unlike the iPhone the battery is replaceable, and available through MobileFun. Is it the best phone? Don't know. Is it a good phone? Oh yes! Only 4 stars not so much due to the appaling battery life, but the fact it takes an incredible (no pun intended) 4 hours to re-charge.

Ordered this at launch as Desire HD supposed to have poor battery life and incredible s has higher capacity cell. So far it's lasted very well - about 50% or more left at the end of a hard day's use. Very good all round phone. If you want to splash out, this is a good option. If only it came with android 2.3.
