Not much use for an iPad and an IPhone

I bought this expecting it to be able to charge my ipad and iphone while away in france this summer but only the ipad connection will charge them so the benefit of the dual port is completely lost. A bit of a waste of money for what I wanted but someone with a second device that requires really low power might find it of use.

Great idea but doesn't quite deliver

I am sure that I am not alone in needing to charge a modern smart phone and a tablet at the same time. Unfortunately, although the 2amp usb socket works fine and will charge the tablet, the 0. 5amp socket will not charge the phone (an iphone). Good device if you need a single 2amp usb charger though.
