Case-Mate Tough Case - HTC Wildfire - Black

Best Case on the market by far. I work in an environment where my phone is vulnerable to frequent bumps. I need to keep my phone in my pocket for emergencies as I work alone with machinery and tools and I frequently find myself pressed hard against a machine while performing maintenance. I often remove my phone from my pocket to check for messages and missed calls and occasionally drop it due to oily and slippery hands. The dual protection from the soft silicon and hard polycarbonate shell offers protection from knocks and bumps in pockets as well as dropping on floor. The only Achilles heel is that there is no protection to the exposed screen that pouch type cases offer but I always place phone in my pocket with the screen toward my leg so it's well protected. Summary In my view, the best case on the market with no alternative product that offers the same level of protection while allowing the phone to be used in a natural and comfortable way and maintaining access to all the buttons and ports.

Protects phone well but still keeps all its functionality. Bit fiddly to put together

Pros: Tailor made fit feels more positive than the wildfire with no case. All controls/sockets accessible and functional. Combination of shock absorbing gel layer and polycarbonate skin provides durable protection without excessive bulk. Inclusive screen protector comes with lint free cloth and does not affect the screen negatively. Cons: Case adds a little bulk to the phone, obviously, but still. Rubbery feel to the shock absorbing layer attracts fluff and makes insertion and removal from tight pockets harder. The case will have to be removed to be mounted in a dedicated car holder, i.e. Brodit Active/Passive holder. This does not apply to clamp type holders that are adjustable. Overall: Best silicon/gel type case due to the precision of the fit which secures the case whilst leaving all of the controls accessible and the added protection of the polycarbonate outer skin. The inclusive bespoke screen protector completes the job. If you always keep your phone in your tight jeans pocket you may prefer a smoother alternative or if you regularly use a dedicated car holder you may prefer the HTC leather slip case. 5* as it is the best in its class.
