Excellent dual purpose device
This is a great charger and hands free kit. The screen mount is sturdier than any I have had before and attaches easily. Hands free works well, only downside is I would prefer the maximum volume to be higher. Great for using sat nav app on the phone.

Bit Bulky But Brilliant
When I first ordered this product, I thought. Bit pricey for what I want, but the one I had to replace cost my 10gbp and that screwed up in no time. Then, when I first received this item I was surprised at the size of it, but what a really handy gadget it is. Only used the "hands free" mode on it once as a test, and that works fine, but the thing I most find beneficial is the added usb port for charging something else, usually my satnav. The suction pad for the window is very effective, sometimes a little too effective and you will need to wrestle lightly when trying to remove it, but hey. At least the damn thing isn't going to fall off into your lap!! well impressed overall and I highly recommended this product.

Htc hd car cradle
I got this cradle and was straight away unsure of the quality but now it's been in the car for 2 weeks it performs well the speaker could do with being a bit better and the mic a little more sensitive but all round a nice bit of kit and as per usual I ordered from this company and it was delivered the next day what more could I ask for Bryan

Mostly excellent; poor-quality audio-out jack
For the most part, this product is very good and you will be hard-pressed to find anything anywhere near as good for the price. That said, there is one problem with it in that the audio-out jack, or some of the internal audio hardware, is seriously poor quality. When used on its own, with its built-in speaker, the audio is moderately loud (generally loud enough for hands-free phone conversations) and sufficiently good quality for those same conversations. However the built-in speaker is nowhere near good enough for listening to music, and connecting it to your car stereo's aux-in socket (if it has one) results in a hideous amount of crackling and clicking. I've found that having music playing at a reasonable volume will general drown out the crackling, but between tracks and during any quiet sections, the noises become incredibly annoying. At a guess I'd say that it's related to the input voltage, as the pitch of the clicks changes depending on the engine speed, so an inline power filter of some sort may solve it, but this in no way excuses the initial problem. I also managed to completely fry the audio hardware in this mount by connecting it to my car stereo once. My replacement unit has been fine so far, but I'm now reluctant to use it to its full potential, crackling audio or otherwise... (Remember, as others have mentioned, that the audio-out jack is 2.5mm rather than the more common 3.5mm. This may be a mild surprise, but is an extremely minor problem as a £1 adapter from eBay will solve it. Deducting 40% of the product's rating for such a minor inconvenience, as another reviewer has done, seems overly harsh.)

Quality at an affordable price.
Being cynical I often think reviews are written by the manufactures and their associates. I am a self employed craftsman with a van and I didn't want to splash out on the all singing all dancing full hands free installation. So I thought after looking at the specification I would give this product a shot. I Am chuffed to bits with it, it does everything they claim and I think it is really good value for money. The only down side I can see has been pointed out by a previous review 'if your lighter socket is in front of your gear stick you could be in trouble'! I Hope this was helpful.

Great idea, poorly built
This should be a lovely holder. It charges the DHD and takes a feed from it's headphone socket to it's own handsfree kit. So it covers many bases and covers some of them well. The sucker, for example is one of the best I've seen and it charges the phone at 1Amp. Excellent. What's not good is the build quality. It's quite shabby. It picks up too much interference in the vehicle, the mic for the handsfree is very directional so callers won't hear you unless you talk right at it and the output socket for the headphones is the wrong jack size. The phone has a 3.5mm jack, so the user probably has lots of kit with 3.5mm jack. So why does the kit have a 2.5mm socket? A rubbish one at that. It makes bad contacts with cables you plug into it, creating poor stereo and crackly sound if you play music through it. Potentially a lovely piece of kit, but so badly manufactured. Buy one by all means, but don't expect it to last.

Well made but one flaw
Well made but the jack to use with wired headphones is the not the standard size. If it was then 5/5 otherwise 3/5

Worth the money - recommended.
As per usual excelent service and quick delivery from Mobilefun. Item arrived securely packaged and easy to set up. Sticks well to windscreen and does what it says on the box. Charges (useful for when using GPS for extended amounts of time), and handsfree voice works perfectly. Speaker also good for listening to audiobooks but not for music. Headphone socket as well. Phone fits well into it's sleeve (even with screen protector).

Does what it's supposed to...
Shame about the cable being a little short to reach the lighter as it stretches across the dash. Saves skimping on the battery during the day.

Fab!!
I love my HTC Desire HD car Mount! It works really well and is clear on both ends of the call. It also works well as a chrager and you can choose whether you want it to charge your phone or not. Some of the other reviews said that it was a tight fit and it is, but this is by no means a bad thing. You can get it in and out quite easily but it means that it's not shaking or rattling about when you drive.

Just buy it!
A brilliant product that fits the phone I was really pleased with the HTC Desire HD Car Mount. Would definately recommend it. Negativities - I had to buy a vent mount to fit it in the car as it wouldn't stick on the dash, speaker/charger unit can sometimes get in the way of my gearstick (I drive a Renault Espace). Otherwise its perfect! Only 4 stars because I had to buy extras

Great speaker - although a bit 'chunky'
GOOD POINTS: - Very loud and clear speaker with adjustable volume. - Ability to switch off the charging - Twists and rotates - extra usb slot for other devices - quick pickup/speaker button to answer calls and end calls BAD POINTS: - suction mount that sticks to windscreen isnt as strong, especially in the cold - speaker that slots into 12v cig lighter is flimsy and comes loose if your cig light socket isnt deep enough. - speaker is a little too chunky

update to good package
I've found another problem with it. The headphones jack is a size too small so you can't fit your normal 3.5mm jack regular headphones in. I'm not sure why they design to use non-standard size jack?

More than just a car mount
I was really pleased with the HTC Desire Car Mount. As I looked into more detail I was really suprised to find that it also CHARGES the phone, and not just that... the car adapter plug even contains a large Hands Free speaker and Mic too. This is great considering the built in speaker on the HTC is rather quiet. In my opinion this is the best looking and by far the best value HTC car mount that I have seen. Would definately recommend. Only one minor neg; which is the speaker/charger unit can sometimes get in the way of my gearstick (I drive a peugout 106- may be only me with this prob?). But this can be resolved by twisting it out of the way. Still really love it though and would definately recommend it to a friend. Well deserving of 5 stars.

good overall complete package
This has the charger with built-in speaker which is really helpful as the speaker on the phone is poor with low maximum volume. The angled arm can't be moved but the ball joint at the phone can be angled and rotated. The lower part of the holder is quite deep so may not be mounted as low on the dash as I would like and therefore has a preferred vertical mounting position. There is a mic on the holder unit. The fit is very good. The main problem I find is the spiral cable used which is quite a stretch, I prefer a normal and longer cable. However, I think it's good value for money.

Good for the Price
Works well easy to fit. Prefers horizontal mount rather than vertical( comes unstuck and falls off). Call quality good. Speaker loud enough. Have to speak not at the mic but in the general direction. Phone slightly tight to insert and take out but is getting looser now ( 2 weeks ). Given 4 because of mounting problem.
